I just rented Star Wars Republic Commando, and have been playing it quite a bit. It kept me up unil 4am. It isn't the greatest FPS game for the XBox (Halo 2 rules in that regard), but the non-stop action and small squad mechanics are oddly satisfying.
I don't think I would buy this. I'll probably finish it as quick as I can, then rent God of War.
Again, GameFly rocks!

This game is keeping me up until almost 5am every night. Makes work and school a little difficult. :wink:
I finished the racing series (completed the super GP), and now am working on the crash series.
This game is so much fun! I even got my girlfriend to enjoy playing it, and the last game she enjoyed was Super Mario Bros. for the O.G. Nintendo!

Can't stop playing Burnout 3!

Man, this game is amazing! I haven't had this much fun playing a racing game since the original F-Zero for the Super Nintendo. No other racing game has inspired me to try so hard to get the gold in every event in the world circuit like this. There's a European race to beat a 2:20 lap time in a F1-style racer that had me trying again and again for an hour and a half!
The multiplayer over XBox live is great too! I tend to play late (after 2am PST), so most of the people I play with have English accents. It's all great fun!
I got this game as a rental from Gamefly, and I think I'll definitely be purchasing it as soon as the used price comes down a little bit. I would recommend this game even to non-racing fans. It's just that good!
I just wish that this game had an instant replay feature for the crashes, and maybe a way to save the most impressive ones for viewing later.
Also, I wish that there was some mini-map of the race tracks, or at least some indication how close you are to the finish line. At this point, you have to memorize the tracks.
I wish I had remembered this complaints in my review of Burnout 3. Oh well.

Doom 3 not as good as I had hoped

Even though I thought I had a pretty decent rig, it still runs slow. The single player game is uninspiring, especially after playing Far Cry for a while. I have to say though, I did enjoy seeing computer screens as part of the environment, instead of a separate screen. It's very immersive. I don't know if I'll play this all the way through. I probably will eventually, since I can't return it. I actually tried, but EB had specific orders not to take returns of Doom 3 in particular. 60 bucks gone! ugh.
