Batman: Arkham City and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Those games are really a lot more story-telling games rather than adventure games... :/

I have a question gamespotters; What is the best adventure game in your opinion? I mean real adventure. A game that you can play and continuously find new things and be amazed and entertained. I don't mean a game like Minecraft; because truthfully, once you've done a few hours of exploring, you've seen it all. I don't mean a game like Oblivion where you have to walk 5 miles to see anything interesting, and once you've found it, you realize its something similar to something you've seen before and its not that amazing. I don't mean a game like Uncharted that says it's adventure but is really quite linear. I mean a total adventure game. A game you can dip into for horus and hours and then some more hours and still be entertained and marvelled. Is there a game like there out there? I'm curious to find out.

[QUOTE="elemein"]Would a bluetooth dongle work? My laptop does not natively support Bluetooth, but dongles are a dime a dozen. Would that be okay? I'm fine with wired nonetheless and I've been leaning moreso to Xbox360/PS3 controllers more than the other types of controllers because of the fact that I'll be able to use them when I go to friends house with their systems; the fact they're easy to find; they have good reputation; easy to modify, etc. etc.Sweetbackhair

This should be fine.

Wired it is. Seeing as that + the controller itself would cost more than a wired xD

The Xbox360 controller for Windows and Xbox are both the exact same.

You can also use your PS3 controller if you want too.

I don't own any consoles :( Also, how would a wired controller (or even a wireless controller) work exactly? I havent any doubt that they DO work, I just was under the impression that the wired ends of both the PS3 and Xbox360 controllers both have unique male input interfaces than just a normal USB port?

Straight to the point; I normally play First-Person Shooter games and Racing games with the exception of the odd RPG or whatever. Anyways, I game on my laptop (HP Pavilion dv6-3040ca with 8GB of Kingston RAM installed) and its a mobile rig. I take it with me most places I go in a bag. I want very good gaming experiences but trying to get great gaming experiences out of Racing games while only using the keyboard is hard. Getting a wheel? Not an option with my whole portability issue. Lately I've been wanting to get into a racing simulator and I have a few on my list (GTR2, RFactor, iRacing), but other than the keyboard, I have no other input device. So I've been thinking; why not game controller? It could even be used for my FPS games! So-- a few questions. Does anyone else play racing games/racing sims with game controllers? How is it? How much could a decent gaming controller for the PC fetch for? If I got a Xbox PC Controller could I also use it for the Xbox 360? (not a priority as I dont own one but would be cool when I go to friends houses who do have one) In case it matters; I have Windows 7.
