@Jacanuk: I did watch Zorine's feature, which was great. It made me consider the possibility of getting back into WOW, but with the wealth of decent games out, I couldn't commit to a subscription based game anymore without feeling I'm missing out on others.
@foxhound_fox: I am well aware of other gaming websites. I have read other site's reviews, but I was keen to read their opinions.
The game has been out for almost a month now and still there is no sign of a review, or even a review in progress.
Even The Crew which has been out for less than 2 weeks has a review and that has online elements that prevented a early review. I have seen other gaming sites post their reviews up, but I would like to read and watch a review from GameSpot.
I really enjoyed the 10 Years of WOW feature but to then not provide a review of the new expansion is baffling. Who is supposed to be reviewing it, and when are we likely to see it?
I was watching a little bit of the DOTA 2 International this weekend and was wondering if there is an equivalent competition for FIFA. As a fairly decent FIFA player, I'm curious about the state of professional play/competition for the game and wanted to find out a bit more.
Please respond if you have any knowledge about the FIFA esports scene or perhaps you already have experience playing in tournaments before; I'd love to read about it.
Many thanks!
I enjoyed what I played of the beta, but I must say, I don't see myself playing all the while it has a subscription fee. If ESO went subscription free like Guild Wars 2, then I'd be back on in a flash.
I downloaded Talisman: Digital Edition yesterday, and I must express has been great fun playing. Its not only for the nostalgia that I have enjoyed the turn based fantasy epic, but also Nomad Games have made a great attempt at bringing the board game into the digital age. Its still in early access on Steam, and not without its bugs but worth purchasing if you liked playing the original.
It made me think if there is any other classic board game that could make the jump to a decent video game, or perhaps if there is a particular tabletop game or setting that you'd like to see brought to life in a video game.
Too many to name, but if I had to pick one, I'd say Baldur's Gate II. The greatest RPG ever in my opinion.
You could probably have guessed that from my icon!
I play new games without help or guides from the internet. Why would I want to buy a game, and then get told how to play and complete it? You often see bundles that come with the Prima Strategy Guide; why would you deny yourself the thrill of discovery you would've had while playing the game without one.
Games with multiple paths and player driven narratives should be played without looking at any relevant material. Once I've finished a play through then I may have a glance at what I could have done differently. I can empathize with people using guides after they've finished the game, or the bulk of it, i.e. the main campaign or story, to hunt down all the collectibles for example. Those sort of things are what the internet was made for.
@zjun: I managed to get a free copy of ACIII when I bought a new graphics card, but hadn't played it as I was still catching up on the earlier entries.
Thank you all for the comments; I think that I will give Brotherhood and Revelations a go. The newer ones aren't going anywhere and I have really enjoyed the story so far, so it would be a shame to miss out just to say I've played the newest sequel.
@ShepardCommandr: Everyone is entitled to their opinion. However, you could explain why you dislike them rather than just saying they're terrible.
