My Speciality Run Update:
TMPAIN+ : Completed
GKPAIN+ : Pending (at the Pre-Icarus Fight)
GoW1 PAIN w/ Artemis : Pending
Centaur Sacrifice:
I lured a centaur into the Darkness by using false grabs (press and hold block immediately) so I won't have any interferences with the other Centaurs. Launch them to infinite air grab. Do the mini- game and repeat the strategy until I see the "O" appear again. Roll down the stairs and jump into the pool. Then, I try to use collisions to kill that Centaur.
Here is Tazone1's Strategy. The video quality is top notch.
Should I track the one I brought to O and kill him, or should I try to get ALL to O prompt before heading for the circle?
Up to you. I'm forgetful so I stuck with the first option.
Also, at 2nd circle, I got the s,t bounce going. Should I follow him and infinite grab or go for OH? I mostly find myself too far to pull off infinite grab. Will a t or s make grab easier?
You should try and use Dissension while in the pool. That is jumping out of the pool and using t. Once they bounce, infinite grab them. Jump back into the pool and repeat. In the air, you're safe from any ground attacks, but they can hit you with their cross bow. If the coast is clear, go for OH.
I never tried using MG, but you can land on the edge of the pool, and stone them.
That reminds me... is skipping the Maze okay for valid NUR+? I just find that part tedious... esp jumping across those disappearing floorboards ): Think it isn't, but no harm in checking O_O
Nope, you would be skipping a lot of battles. GMG wouldn't like that >__>
"Found an interesting strat for the two Horn[y] Cyclopii after the Cerberus fight. There isn't any sweet spot as such for that fight, but I created a sweet spot using the Archery Block next to chest(s). Anyone know what am talking about?"
Did you push the block in front of where the barrier (the one that appears when there's a fight) used to be? Classic approach.
Sacrifice:
It's been a while, but I think I used MG (Yes, I did whore this magic whenever I had the chance) to kill the Legionnaire Captain. Used up all the chests? and the one near the save point. You could lure them to the entrance of the room where the lever is, and stone them.
"Landing plumes coming rather naturally and easily than in GOWII"
My exact thoughts.
"Got Medusa in Plumes loop repeatedly for an easy kill...Tried OHing her, didn't work."
The timing to get Medusa in a stun loop takes some practice. For me, I opened up with Plume, to stun her, before using Ascension. As soon as I launch to OH, I quickly press and hold triangle again. It has to be immediately after you press O for OH or she might attack you.
"Where I really suck is those rope sequences. I mostly try to get back on land and fight. I somehow can't figure out how to kill all on rope without taking a few hits"
I like to kick them first before grabbing them. After triggering the next wave, I like to retrace my step since there will be Legionnaires? on both sides of Kratos.
"Had some trouble with Wraiths. I'd forgotten Kratos tries to OH Bounce them rather than use as ammunition to get collisions. Cyclops+Wraith fight gave a few hiccups"
Did you try hiding behind the rubble, and launching them to OH? It's much safer than being out in the open.
"It is nice that they can be infinite grabbed, but setting them up for grabs is the tough cookie. It's the breath pull attack that is causing issues."
If you are in the air and they use the breath pull attack, you can do Dissension to interrupt it. Or, you could threw a quick ZF bolt at them. Then, use Ascension to infinite air grab.
"BTW, am mostly using magic as a defensive strategy. When I get in a tough spot and need to avoid an attack, I use PR to get some breathing room [and extra hits]. Any general tactips?"
Depends on the circumstances. Mind giving an example?
"Cyclopii at temple guardian worked out better and easier than I thought they would"
This battle would have been the perfect time to use MG (Medusa's Gaze), since I think there is enough to petrify all four cyclops. Still, Plume/Spirit is also a good alternative. Do you know of the two sweet spots?
Atlas Handle Room:
Use Plume to destroy their shields and throw them at the Sirens for collisions. Use ZF to stun them, then use Ascension to infinite grabs. I think PR is too weak to do damage. You could use quick petrification with MG, but you would have to ask GMG about that.
Sorry, if I wasn't much help. I hate writing because I'm weak at it.
