At his current state the id Tech 5 has no real time global illumination, bokeh dof, and lacks some other features that both CryEngine 3 and Frostbite 2.0 had.

IMO Frostbite 2.0 is the best of the current engines, and I'm far more impressed with BF3 than with the Samaritan Tech Demo in the UE 3.97
