@Vekit L.A. Noire will be on PS3 as well. It's not exclusive to 360. I'd suggest buying it for PS3 due to the HD capabilities of watching peoples' facial expressions while interrogating them.
@ jdsk8r Yes. 360 copied and improved upon the designs of nintendo's power glove and the wii's technology. The kinect is cool, but it'll never get good games since most xbox fanboys always insult (nintendo's) motion gaming. And online play? Who cares? I still think the wii has some of the best games out there. I like having games that don't go online. I love all three systems, but the wii is definitely my favorite. The kinect was simply microsoft's overly technological copy of the wii's innovation.
Oh, and what do you mean by "real innovation"? I say it again. The motion controls prompted its two rival companies... with whom Nintendo don't even really bat an eye at ... to do the same things with their systems.
lol@Blue_Chaos7 There are tons of people who still play the Wii. Myself included. Sorry, but your opinion that Wii was a mistake doesn't matter especially with all the great games it DOES have and the fact that it's fun as hell to play. I'm still trying to 200% DKCR. And Lost in Shadow? Awesome game. And if it were dated hardware, why did the 360 and PS3 copy it?
Nobody ever claimed wii was going to have graphics on par with 360 or ps3. I still believe you cannot call yourself a hardcore gamer if you think wii has no great games.
@sly Remember when 360 didn't have backwards compatability unless you bought a harddrive or a more expensive console? Or when it didn't have built in wifi? Or are you just on the hating nintendo bandwagon so hard that you fail to see all consoles now wait to give you everything it has to offer?
@TroyTrojanGames I think you're a troll. If not, you are one of the most idiotic, ill-informed people I've seen on this site. Been behind since the N64? The N64 was more powerful than the PS1. So, Nintendo wasn't behind then. Gamecube? More powerful than PS2 and on par with X-Box. Behind? No. Also, there are TONS of great games for the Wii. I guess people just don't care to look outside of FPS these days? I also think it's a severe misrepresentation of the system and the people who buy it to say all they want out of it is Wii Sports and Wii Fit. I, for one, love the internet browser on it. The free online applications. WarioWare, classic games, etc. If you really think it's not a quality product, then I suggest you just steer clear of Nintendo ... or anything having to do with consoles, really. One could argue that 360 and PS3 ( I have all three consoles, and love them all three, btw) are useless for hardcore gamers because they play DVDs, Blu-Ray, internet, what have you because .... LOLZ0Rz OMG CONSOLES ARE FOR GAMING ASLDKNGFKAWNFLKWANERLKN ....well not anymore. The Wii is not JUST a console. It's an innovative piece of machinery, which 360 AND PS3 had to copy as far as motion controls. This elitism about how the Wii isn't a console because old people and casual gamers like it... well, that's just ignorance.
@HaloOverrated Yes and no. Nintendo definitely had the money. ... but they realize the value in gameplay > graphics. Online play on a console is a relatively new thing. Correct me if I'm wrong.. but the Dreamcast was the first console to be able to go online. And Sega got the idea for that from N64's DD add-on which had the ability to be system linked to another console on another TV.. not quite online play, but close. On a side note.. I love the Wiimote. I think it's a wonderful controller. Funnily enough.. it's one of the simplest controllers out there right now. And to say the Classic Controller is underused, is an overstatement. A LOT of wii titles use the classic controller. A lot of downloadable content from the Wii store actually REQUIRES you to use the CC.
@Xtatic324 Where you are half correct about 2 years after the console is released, Sony and Microsoft will make something more advanced capitalizing on Nintendo's genius... You are wrong about it being mindblowing. Unlike the Wii, the motion sensor games for 360 and PS3 are few and far between. And the games with motion sensor capability on these systems... are pretty lame thus far. So .. sure. They'll copy Nintendo and improve what Nintendo does... but they still won't have decent games for said funcitons. Either way, great article. Fantastic read. I cannot wait for the next Nintendo console.
