The halo franchise has brought many games to our lives. From the origionsl Master Chief trilogy, to a RTS from Ensumble studios. But, now that microsoft a.k.a 343 Industries has the lead on all things halo. They should join with Treyarch and create the modern style first person shoot for the halo universe. Imagine a COD/Battlefied/Medal of Honer type shooter, but set in the plot lines of 2500. One idea I've had is a realistic FPS remake of ODST. Now the first game with this name was an expansion of Halo 3, so it had the same feel and idea of its major counter part. But, 343 can revamp the title by making a story about the origins of Orbital Drop Shock Troopers. Like for instense, the game could start with a squad of marines, during the war with the insergents, who are like para-troopers. They use pelicans to jmp into battle zones and achieve specific objective, to help turn the outcome of war. And, in the story you find out a develpoment team is working on a pod system to drop these troopers in from orbit. because, the player finds out during the early parts of the game is that sometimes its difficult to get to ur zone. Some battle areas are so filled with anti-air units that the team has to hoof it from a far location. Or, sometimes they have to make long, high atmosphere jumps from pelicans. So the UNSC would find it to be much more applicable to drop these marines from orbit. But, the instulation where this great technology is been held has been compromised and you have to stop a group of insergents from stealing this information. And, this is just a for instance of a campaign. Multi-player could be like those of treyarch or even Infinite ward. Customizable classes, different abilities, weapons, and equipment. Along with killstreaks , like calling down mac cannon rounds on an area or artillary from an orbiting ship, to straffing runs from a falcon, or bombarment of rockets from the passengers of a hornet. The ideas are endless. And this could take advantage of a deeper history of the UNSC with a war that really hasnt been seen in a video game. Plus to add a little more of a history to it, the main campaign character that is playable, is actually an old orion (spartan 1) candidate who was re-assigned after the program shut down. So just some food for thought. This is a great game that I would love to play and I hope others find it entertaing as well.
