    Assassin's Creed: Director's Cut Edition

Replay ability: You'll finish this game being an expert on the controls and able to get out of any situation. It's a nice feeling. However, if you come back to the game even months later you'll start without having the a... Read Full Review

Abysmal port; practically unplayable on most people's machines.

    Grand Theft Auto IV

Abysmal port; practically unplayable on most people's machines.

I bought GTA IV on Steam; they haven't given me a refund yet but I suspect they will. I don't know whether it's Rockstar or Take Two that is to blame for this disaster of a port. Do not risk buying this game. It is more ... Read Full Review

Starts a bit slow but once it picks up, it REALLY picks up.

    Far Cry 2

Starts a bit slow but once it picks up, it REALLY picks up.

Many people claim this game is too repetitive/missions are boring/too much driving, etc etc. This is true to an extent, but for me, it's not in a negative way. If you have played Assassin's Creed and are familiar with th... Read Full Review

    The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Despite some fixable flaws, this game is definately one of the best on the market.

Graphics are... just... amazing. Even at low resolutions. My setup is an Athlon 64 3200+, 6600GT vid card, and 1 gig crucial ram. I run the game with bloom with all distant objects on at 1024x768. I get 25-30 FPS general... Read Full Review

    S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl

STALKER sets a high standard that too few seem to appreciate.

STALKER is one of the most under-appreciated modern games, but understandably so. It's hard, frustrating, dark, depressing, hard, confusing, and hard. But I am SO glad that it is hard. It brings humility back to over-com... Read Full Review

The atmosphere alone makes it worth playing (unless you don't like sociopathic mutants)

    BioShock

The atmosphere alone makes it worth playing (unless you don't like sociopathic mutants)

Bioshock is a fairly unique shooter, and while it is based off the Unreal Tournament engine, it doesn't really look like it is (which I appreciate). It took me awhile to really get into the game, maybe 4-5 hours or so. I... Read Full Review

    Crysis

If you enjoy shooters that make you feel manly and well-endowed, Crysis is your game.

I played this game three times, each time taking 12-15 hours. First I went through it on normal and found it too easy, so I played it through on very hard mode and found it about right. The third time was also on very ha... Read Full Review
