I bought the game for around 12 bucks about 6 months ago used. It's a good game, but it gets really hard. It's unique enough to recommend to people looking for a different kind of challenge. I played it on the wii, so it will work. I never passed it though, I guess I never had the patience to play it long enough to get the hang of it... but I still don't feel I wasted my money either.

I'm a pretty jaded FPS gamer. FPS have been my favorite genre since Wolfenstein and Doom first came out for the pc. I'm so jaded, that the only games that I'm interested in is if it has mouse and keyboard controls- console fps don't cut it for me because of their joystick control and very generic feel to them. Probably the only one I did like was the original Medal of Honor for the PS... and then, many years later, another console FPS came out... Medal of Honor: Heroes 2!!! Truly, a great game (though the ending level was cheap). Highly underappreciated and the wii-mote nunchuck is a good match against a person with the keyboard+mouse....

[QUOTE="IcE-Fu-"][QUOTE="Rocky32189"]Easily RE4. It fixed the annoying restricting camera angles and terrible tank-like controls.EmilioDigsIt
Dude the restricted cameras is what made RE scary in the first place.. because you'll never know if there is a zombie around the coner

I know. RE4 was just a big ol' action game with creepy weepies in it.
RE 1, RE 2, and REmake are the best ones in my opinion.

I agree... I stopped playing when Nemesis came out because it was just a zombie game without any suspense. RE 2 is by far my favorite!

Yeah, they should. Nintendo used to have strict quality control that showed that nintendo cared about quality. You could pick up almost any game and have a good time. It makes the system as a whole seem cheap and now, you can't impulse buy because you need to do exptensive research on the game or you may get burned.

I think because of the wii remote the wii had a lot of potential for FPS. Only if Wii has better online multiplayer it wil be great. Hopefully wis next console will be as powerful asthe others online and in hardare and nintendo will once again be the king od FPS

EmperorZeruel

Haha... nintendo never was the king of FPS, BUT their wii definately has the potential to be the best CONSOLE system for FPS. I loved the controls with the wiimote. And there's no need for lock-on if you have skills. If you're used to computer FPS, you'd understand.

I think fit is a good, fresh idea in the videogame world. Where gaming has become stagnant in gameplay (most new games only boast better graphics, more explosions or more violence), wii has come out with a fresh way for more jaded gamers to flex their skills. Sure, you can go ride a bike, or do excercises for cheaper, but you're not playing a videogame like many videogamers want to do. And sure, it's not a substitute for excercise, but it is better than not doing anything at all, which many american children are doing these days.

So far, no overheating and I left it on for 3 days straight when I got it (didn't have a PS2 memory card and didn't want to lose my files). Also, what peripherals are there for firewire? The firewire exclusion can't be a con if it was never used. Overall, I really enjoy my slim. No problems whatsoever and it's sexy as hell!

Final Fantasy 7 comes to mind. I played it the first day it was released, but didn't get into it. Had it shelfed for about 10 months, then forced myself to finish it when I got bored.

It seems to me that initially the developers wanted to concentrate on taking advantage of the controls. Considering that it's time consuming to learn a new console and such a unique one at that, it's no wonder the initilal wii games were lacking in the graphics department. Nintendo's most important games, Metroid and Mario, had a lot riding on them, so they had to look good as well as use the controls well. And wouldn't it look bad for nintendo to not be able to utilize the system beyond what 3rd party developers can? Anyway, I think now that the wii is getting on in age, we'll see better (graphically as well as controllerly) games coming from 3rd party developers.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm still very impressed with the Source Engine and the graphics... it just seems much more real than what has been popping up lately.  I mean, I like the light shading and reflections in these newer FPS, but when skin starts looking like it covered with vaseline is just stupid-looking.  I hope HL3 doesn't overdo the reflections just to make things bling.
