I have to say, playing Hyrule Warriors for the Wii U is a lot fun. I'd never played a Dynasty Warriors type game before and was a bit skeptical, but it was a great way to jump into the fray. The fact that it was based in the Zelda universe was an added bonus! I rented it a couple times first and actually beat it, but when I saw it on clearance at Target for $30, I couldn't resist. Sure the gameplay is repetitive, but, like you said, there's something about it that makes you come back to it again and again. The massive amount of enemies on screen and the boss battles are epic and enjoyable. Plus, my 4 and 6 year old love to play it too so that's an added bonus.

I haven't played the 3DS version, but I think it mirrors the Wii U version. I may have to pick it up though so I can get my fix on the go.

You can leave the games on there for the new owner. If your Nintendo Network ID is tied to the system, the only way to transfer it to another system without actually having the system is to call Nintendo, which I've done a couple of times. I was even able to get my digital downloads back, which was very surprising.

Getting your SNES fix, you'll want to get a New 3DS XL as it is the only one to support the SNES VC games other than the Wii/Wii U. Like many others, I like being able to close my 3DS, which makes it more portable and pocket friendly, so my handheld of choice is the original 3DS. I've gone back and forth between the 3DS, the XL, and even the New 3DS XL, but I love the form factor of the original one so I'm not able to use the new C stick or take advantage of the SNES VC, but I have a Wii U so no worries there.

All in all, the value of the 2DS is apparent, but if you go on eBay, you can usually find an original 3DS for the same price, maybe even a little less. Plus, the 2DS/3DS share the same specs so there is no graphical loss between the two.

@kikerman33: eBay is a great place to find lots of them. I've had mine for 2 years and have had no issues. Honestly, I buy almost all my video game stuff from there and have never had a problem.

I had an Xbox 360 250GB with one wireless controller, in great cosmetic condition, all cords and about 16 downloaded games on it and I took it to Gamestop and traded it toward a Xbox one system. ($150 for it)

I know some say that's not worth it, but look at the prices on eBay now for a similar sell and you're really not going to get more than that unless you've got some fairly new titles. With the announcement of backwards compatibility, the eBay market is being flooded with Xbox 360s more than ever.

Sure you may find someone who'll pay more than $150, but don't count on it. Plus, after eBay takes 10% and you offer free shipping, since you really won't get many takers without it, you'll end up making even less.

Craigslist might be a better option, but I'm pretty weary of that.

Now selling separately would be the best option. If you sold the games separately, $5-$10 max for each one. Kinect seems to go for $25-$30 with a couple games. You'll make really good money with the controllers, I'd say $18-$22 depending upon the condition. The system with one game installed, and one controller, maybe $80-$90.

For me, GameStop was the easy choice and I was able to get Arkham Knight for free since that was the deal at the time. Sure, backward compatibility helped drive my decision, but honestly, for me, it was time to go next gen, and paying $200 plus tax is a pretty damn good deal for a system that'll be around for many years to come.

@hydralisk86: I'd say with that reputation, you're good. I buy all my games from eBay and can't even remember a time where I had an issue with one not being new.

I thought it was a pretty fun game. Sure it wasn't on the same level as the Prime games, but it wasn't supposed to be. It was nice to see Samus in 3rd person again, and the combat was enjoyable. There was a couple tough parts, but overall I got through it fairly quick.

Honestly, I'm torn between both. I love the small form factor of the 3DS, but the XL is nice and...XL. Honestly, if the 3DS had the battery life of the XL, I'd probably go with the 3DS. XL is nice with the bigger screen, but I can't get away from the portability of the 3DS.

That being said...if I was in the market for a 3DS, I'd get the New 3DS XL because there isn't an option to get the smaller one.

I've owned the 3DS and 3DS XL, however, not the New 3DS. So while I haven't played the New 3DS, I would definitely get one if I was in the market for it. This way, you don't have to wonder when you get a newer game if it's "New 3DS Only". Plus, I've heard the C stick is a welcome addition.
