one time when i was a very little kid, i had a Lightning McQueen bed and i remember just staring at the ceiling the whole night it was so weird and the next day i was thinking it was a dream because i wasn't tired and when i went to sleep that night i slept for so long i came downstairs after lunchtime.

I played this game around 2010, can't really remember much, but you had a blue stuffed animal that talked, maybe it was a cat? You had to escape this asylum and at the beginning of the game there was a scene where the main character is an octopus. Pretty sure the game was also originally in German.
