artistically, the graphics in Gears 1 were better.. the dark lighting and varied colors (like the red hue in train) suited the story and game world better. Technically, Gears 2 does have better graphics though. The author is mistaken about the Lancer though which is substantially weaker in 2 than in 1.

looks cool, but considering the lite will likely drop in price after this release, I might go for that since these new features don't appeal much to me.
