Bought a great game by impulse

Last day before Easter Break. Just finished my France Lesson (by 20 past 4pm :( ) and felt like buying something. I decided to take the train home right away, to make sure I would come home at all. Halfway, when I'm supposed to switch to the bus, I realised I had som time left before the bus lefttthe station. I went off to the nearby mallhe station.  and bought a game. Medieval II: Total War. It wasn't really an impulse-buy, since I had downloaded the demo and heard a good deal of praise from a friend of mine, it wasn't planned either.

Anyway, I started playing the regular Single Player mode; Grand Campaign. It lasted for a long time, and I felt i had to play more than six hours every day to complete it. I did, and it was really fun and even more addictive. Started a new game yesterday, and I'll try to take it easier this time. :P

Also, I played alot of Wii Sports this Weekend, and I think I will end up with... (checking wordlist..) delayed onset muscle soreness! There's got to be a better (shorter) word!

Nostalgic story

Well, as I might have mentioned, what bruoght me into videogames was the giant wave of Pokémon. More accurately Pokémon Blue, a Gameboy Color and a friend who told me about it in the first place. One or two years later I bought my friends pokémon Red and found myself owner of both versions. But the same year I lost my copy of Pokémon Blue. We searched and searched, but we couldn't find it. I was by then perhaps nine years old and had got some other games for the GBC anyway, so I eventually stopped caring that much. Every now and then I got nostalgic about it, since Blue was my first game in terms of Videogames and perhaps my first of all games (not sure if I got AoE before or afterwards). I would play Pokémon Red sometimes, but it was not quite the same thing.
So last year I wen't to a shop selling retro games and bought a pre-owned pokémon Blue. That was great and all, but still, my first game.
But in january this year my mother went to my grandma's house to help her clean up before moving to another house and when she came home she had brought our old pokémon Blue. It had lied behind a wardrobe for five or six years and was rusty inside and on the backside. I cleaned it up a bit and tried, in my wrecked GBA to make sure my GBC wouldn't be damaged by the corrosion. And it worked!

Fasting from Video Games

Starting by Ash Wednesday I decided to start fasting from Video Games, sweets and fictions. This means I will get a whole lot of more spare time to spend on forums, homework and a lot of other serious stuff. I have been a bit frustrated the last few days since I haven't known what to do with all the time (my personal computer is gone too), but I'm getting better now. :D
Just realised I was a little bit addicted by reading fiction and playing video games. This is the best way to find out, I can guarantee that.

Fast ends at Palm Sunday (sunday before Easter).

I just realized... my snoring is hideous!

For the first time in my life I heard myself sonring, while I did it. Impoosible? No.

Last night when I was in light sleep I thought of nothing and thought of nothing. But while I thought of nothing I heard a noise. A loud noise, but it semed far away, so it didn't disturb my thinking of nothing. But then my brother started yelling at me, and I woke up. He said I snored incredibly loud and I answered, "I know."

One of the strangest things I've ever been through. :D

My body is 20 years young!

I made it! In the fitness test included in Wii I made it to the top result at the age of 20 years. This after 29 fitness tests since december 8. Now I can finally find peace... or give myself a new goal in the same game or another. Oh, and I finished that Arena-project too, so now I have no duties in my gaming.

The games in that fitness test this time were: Punching the bag, where I smashed 26 bags, Targeting Tennis, where I it all ten without dropping the ball, and finally, evading balls (Boxing), where I earned 61 points. Quite refreshing.

Collecting more info about Fire Emblem: Goddess of Dawn.

I saw the latest video at the official site for FE10 today, and now I can't wait for it to be released. So, I started collecting all the info I've been missing out on the few weeks I haven't been updating myself. There are really some interesting pics from the game and my thoughts of how the story will be laid out are changing and getting claerer. It comes out this month in Japan, so I suppose there will be a lot of info after that. Can't wait.

I also took time to make myself a new avatar, for the first time since approximately when I got here a year and a half ago. Shows Sothe, from FE 10 of course.

Experiencing new parts of the Wii.

Two days ago I was finally able to go online with my Nintendo Wii. My first actions were to update Weather and News channels, and then to download the trial version of Opera for the wii.
And I can't believe how wide-ranged this console is. The weather forecasts are all you need them to be, you can check the weather ono the other side of the earth anytime, and the News Channel gives some easy-reed information you wouldn't even herd of if it didn't exist. And there's not only short press items, but long articles if you decide to read more about it. Even my dad was impressed by this, and he has repeatedly told me to play less videogames ( which is reasonable) all until the era of Wii.
Yesterday I bought a points card to try some of the Virtual Console games, and I downloaded Super Mario 64, Donkey Kong and Urban Chambion. The later two I started in multiplayer, competing with my brother and so I got a very good impression from the beginning. When playing by myself later I found Donkey Kong was a lot of fun, but Urban Champion wasn't very.. varied.
Somehow I escaped getting Super Mario 64, even though I've been playing Nintendo since -97 or -98. When it entered the DS I was interested but I never got it anyway. Finally I can try this classic and from the first few hours I see it might be a really good game (although I'm quite sure it is from all reviews by other people).

Finally finished Twilight Princess.

Yeah, I did it. I played through about 50 hours of classic Zelda gaming, and it seems it all turned out well after all. I was really disappointed when I experienced the horribly bad humor right before the end, but the last two or three fights made it all worth the suffering.
Suppose I should start playing another game for either the wii or the cube, but right now I can't get enough of Fire Emblem. I play number seven for the GBA aiming to unlock all 300 or so support conversations, and I am almost finisihed with my mega-Arena project in Fire Emblem 6. I even resumed my files in Fire Emblem 4 and 5 for some short time a while ago, although I didn't really spend much time with it at that point.
