Hi all,

This is my first blog post so I'll talk a bit about myself first then get into the stuff I've been upto...

I'm an avid gamer who enjoys many different genres and am always open to trying new types of games out. I currently own an Xbox 360 and a PS3 (which is very disappointing at present I must say), I've been gaming since I was about 7 years old and have continued to follow the industry to what it has become today.. I also enjoy sport (especially football) but am unable to participate in any at the moment due to a recent ACL reconstruction operation... So that's left games to amuse me during this period of time.....

So what's been going on recently?

Well I recently bought The Orange Box for my 360 which has to be one of the best buys of the year.... have been playing a lot of Portal and Team Fortress 2, the latter probably getting the most attention. The thing that sets this game apart from the competition is the way that the various classes available often dictate how well your team does. Quite often I've been playing and the selection has been poor resulting in a complete and utter whitewash, however when that selection is right you can see all the pieces of the puzzle fit together perfectly and the team works as good as bread and butter. I've also began the single player campaign on Half-Life 2 and am very impressed with what I have seen so far. I look forward to progressing through the game and seeing the story unfold.

I also had a quick game of UNO on LIVE today and found it very relaxing - just what I needed after a session shooting things on The Box.
