PS2 vs XBox: My Stance

First, I would like to ask why people care so much about graphics. They should matter to gamers. The gameplay should be the most important thing. With that said I would like to begin my post. Below I will give several genres of gaming (I do not play sports games, so they are not included.) and tell you my stance on them in the PS2 vs XBox debate.

Action/Adventure: God of War, that is my arguement. If you played this game you would know why. This game is a lot more involving than Ninja Giden and has the best story I ever played through. Another honorable mention is the Devil May Cry. These games have great stories and awesome gameplay as well.

RPG:
XBox has no chance in this department. Not only does PS2 have its own arsenal of  outstanding RPGs (FFX, Kingdom Hearts, Shin Megami Tensei series), but it has the best RPGs to come out with the PS library (FFVII, Xenogears, Legend of Dragoon, Persona). Even KOTOR can't stand up to these games.

FPS: I'll have to give this on to XBox, but not because of Halo. Half-Life 2 is the FPS that shines on this system. Halo is just another FPS that a group of people liked real well, causing people around them to conform, and so on. Off the record, Killzone is a great FPS. People don't see this, but I do. A game about a war shouldn't have a jump button, and the game makes you think carefully about what you are doing.

Other: This is for genres I didn't mention. The Ratchet and the Jak series; for example, are the best platforming games out there. Final Fantasy Tactics is probably the best TRPG out there as well.

As you can see, there are many more better games on the PS2 than on the XBox. Also, you can buy a computer graphics card for a computer good enough to play XBox games for less than the XBox. Since most all of the XBox's good games are on the computer as well, you can play them for less. Please play some of the PS2 games I mentioned and you will understand.
