So...I just started playing Fallout 3 for the Xbox 360. I bought this game in hope of that limelight that it recieved at E3. And oh, how has it far surpassed expectations.
The game begins as you as child just coming out of the womb, where you create your character to be played throughout the rest of the game. You choose your name, gender, race, and all other features to ultimately create you own unique character.
No later than you come out, it throws you right into the heat of things with the disappearance of your father who has left the "Vault", the home that you live and are not supposed to leave, and set out on some journey to find something. You soon give chase to him, leaving Vault 101 and out into the world known as the "Wasteland."
The Wasteland is a vast, endless world of the remains of Washington D.C. after the nuclear apocalypse occurred. There are Raiders, Predators, and Super-Mutants all waiting to be laid to waste as you being the search for your father and the whole truth about everything.
The whole game itself is impressive. From the landscapes all the way down to the items you find, everything has been masterfully done and definitely creates a sense of you being in the game. The sound quality of guns being fired, melee weapons crushing a Raider's head, or just walking through the Wasteland are clear and crisp. The music also presents itself and enhances the feeling of being alone in the limitless land as you search.
My overall impression of this game is pure enjoyment. So I'll put the "Pros" and the "Cons" into a list...
Pros:
-Gripping Storyline
-Amazing Graphics
-Quality Sound
-Enjoyable
-Replayable Many Times
Cons:
-Distance to Walk Seems "Too" Far
My overall grade of Fallout 3: A or a 9.5/10
