@aiat_gamer: My guess is they want to take market share from Nintendo and Microsoft? Sony doesn't dominate NA like it does EU. ( PS4's still best console selling though )

@tarheelsforever: Sony had a similar deal last month. If you renewed Plus at the beginning of March (in NA) you might have gotten the promotion, I think it was going on between Feb 28- March 5? They would've emailed you a promotional code for the 3 months.
