i would say that aeris is the lead female cause first of all the game starts out with a close up of her. And when you really think of the story its more like all the other characters were drawn together to find and help her save the planet. If you notice most of the people that join the group don't much care for the planet (except for Berret) until they meet aeris.

I would like to see them make an original story but not like the movie FF: Spirits Within. Cause that movie didn't have the FF feel to it. To me it felt like they were just trying to make a quick buck off the FF name. You know make a quick movie and slap on the FF name so it will sell.
I want to see them make a movie that is like FF: Advent Children. Cause that movie actually gives you the FF feel. You know that real sci-fi feel. The mystical, dangerous, and yet exciting story and action. But FF: Advent Children had an advantage that FF: Spirits Within didn't. It just continued on an already existing and great story along with great action scenes. Were as FF: Spirits Within had a week story and good action scenes.
What they need to do in my opinion is take an idea that they have for a game and make it into a movie that has a really good original story(like the games do)and combine that with great actions scenes(like in FF: Advent Children). If they can pull that off they will have made a movie worthy of the FF name that is not a spin-off.
I think that the graphics should be good for the time that the game came out. But if the game is years old and you are just now playing it then you should be more focused on the story. When you look at FFVII at the time the game was released the graphics were revolutionary. That game set a new standard in gaming for everyone. But just graphics don't make a great game you also need a good storyline, good sound, and good gameplay.
In case some of you don't get what I m talking about I'll give you an example. Think of one of your favorite games that came out on the Playstation, N64, Dreamcast, or even further back. Remember when you first played that game you were thinking that it was the coolest game ever. That there wasn't a game out there that could top it. Now I want you to play that game now if you can't think about how it would feel to play that game now. For those of you who can play it now you will notice that the game is still fun and as additive as it was when you first played it. That's because when you played the game it was the best out there or the best that you had seen. You see if you don't play the game when it comes out you get used to the new age graphics and the old graphics become unable to satisfy you. So the game loses an edge that it had when it came out. The game is no longer able to get as many fans because it is old and outdated.
So for you few who are just now playing a game that is old but very popular you missed out on the a little piece of the reason the game was popular and still is. So now you need to keep in your head that the graphics were good for the time that the game came out but now you need to focus more on the story, sound, and gameplay to get you through the game.
I think that they will in a few years. If you notice when ever the public asks for something they tend to only give them a little taste of it and then hold on to it for a while before they give it to us. Like the movie they told us that they were making it years before it was released. I hope that they remake FFVII for the PS3. But as you can see they taunted us with that tech demo. But even in movie form that would an amazing video. They could even make it into two movies or more if they want to get into detail.
