@just_visiting: wonder if you saw the news on this topic… looks like Turner is in negotiations meaning she auditioned and they want her for the role 😂😂😂
@just_visiting: previous comment had nothing to do with commenting on understanding of English, so bringing it up is irrelevant, regardless of it corroborating my previous point about readers responsibility.
This will be my last message because you still fail to see your error in comparing the two words at the time. I was not ever commenting on the veracity of writer’s info, only the fact that the word auditioning would mean it hasn’t happened yet, which is what the article stated. That she hadn’t auditioned yet. If you can’t understand the difference at this point it’s clear you never will.
Auditioning = hasn’t don’t it yet
Auditioned = they’ve done it
Hasn’t auditioned yet = hasn’t done it yet
Go back and read all my responses and you’ll see I was only ever pointing out those differences / similarities.
@just_visiting: you need to get a life! Imagine going back probably a month or more in someone’s comment history trying to find something that isn’t remotely related to the topic of conversation.
Where did I say I don’t care if gamespot writes truth or not? I said they can do whatever they want, just like any mainstream media will spin stories. Never did I say I think that’s ok. I even stated it’s the readers responsibility not to take one source as fact. Which is exactly why I was asking that person what his supposed source was to try to see if it was verified elsewhere.
But please keep going, you’re only proving my point you don’t have a grasp on the English language 😂
@just_visiting: oh I see the difference. I’m not disputing there is a difference. What I’ve simply pointed out and you keep disregarding is that you were suggesting they were lying because they said auditioning and she had auditioned yet. Those could mean the same thing!
IF she was scheduled to audition but didn’t yet then both are true! I understand she isn’t confirmed so it’s not the case, but again I was pointing out your ignorant error in claiming they lied because she had yet to audition but used the verbiage auditioning.
It’s 100% clear you don’t have a good grasp on the English language because you can’t see your error. I’ve not once said the article writer was correct or writing facts.
@just_visiting: it’s entertainment news. They can report it how they want. Just like news media reports stories the way they want, with however they want to spin the story. It’s just up to the viewer to understand to check other resources and not believe one media outlet.
Still doesn’t change you were comparing the word auditioning (in the title) to not auditioned yet (in the content of the article), suggesting that by saying auditioning they were saying she auditioned already.
@just_visiting: regardless of the change, auditioning is not a past tense word meaning it happened already. You were outright saying that they claimed it happened. They were merely suggesting they had information she was going to audition. I’ll agree the change makes it more clear as they obviously don’t have bonafide info she will audition.
