Thanks Everyone! I only wanted to play Story Mode, taking turns with my 11 yr. old daughter. We love the story stuff, have a PS4 connected but not subscribed to PS+. So it sounds like its a go!

Thanks for all of your input everyone! I will definitely grab a few of these titles and slowly get her into it. Little Big Planet (damn I sold it as I didnt care for it all that much) is a sure pickup. I can see the appeal of it for her.

I didnt read all eight pages of this thread, but to the person asking about how Darksiders is, I can safely say its a terrific game. I played it for two days now and am not that far into it, but so far its been a solid adventure. It is beautiful visually and the sounds, especially the tweaked voices are stunning, deep and devilish especially if you can play the game on a dolby system. The graphics are sharp and the visual style feels like its taken from a dark comic book.

Overall the game feels a tad like Gears of War with the chunky/beefy soldiers while at the same time the character interactionsfeels like Maximo. Once in awhile I feel like you're Maximo, but the darker and more twisted version of him.

The controls will take you a little bit to get used to and they are not that intuitive at first, but like many other games there is the burn-in time when it will eventually start to feel like second nature.

Bottom line... loads of fun, great story, great characters, amazing and deep universe to explore with a mean maniacal and dark line of characters and events. So far a hugeblast. Nothing better then running around our universe thats been altered by our events, finding devils darkest minions and pissing them off. I highly recommend it. Don't play it to rip it for faults cause it does have some minor ones (every game does). Play it for the fun factor, its saturated with it....

Try Kameo "Elemets of Power".

I totally enjoy the platform genre and this game got very good reviews and was a lot of fun. Gamespot gave it 8.7 I think.

Simpsons is a great game but BEWARNED its for the true fans. The camera and controls can be frustrating.

I am one of those people who has had a 360 for two years now and never connected it online. Its still a ton of fun. You are entering into the console life where there are dozens and dozens of terrific disc games you can pick up at the store for pennies on the dollar and enjoy the hell out of them (gears of war, bioshock, etc...).

If you're wondering why I never connected... My 360 is upstairs and my internet connection is downstairs. I dont want to run an ethernet cable up and down the stairs since one of my cats likes to chew wires. :) Silly I know. My PS3 however has a wireless connection which is fantastic for online games. I actually try to avoid online play as much as possible as its incredibly addicting and I just dont have the time to be up till 3am. Microsoft promised a ton of features when they released the 360 sadly they skimped on many of them, like wireless internet which I think should have been included in "next-gen" systems. Still ton of games for it to enjoy without connectivity.

thanks for your help. I will actually try out the 1080i and see what it looks like. If it looks crappy then I will pull it back. Atleast now I know how to do it.

Hi Team,

I noticed on the back of the box of GTA4 that it says it has 1080i, p, 720 res. I have a 1080i Sony Bravia TV with HDMI input. When I start the game, it always bumps it down to 720.

What and where do I have to do in order to get the game to run at 1080? I am 99% certain that my PS3 is always in 1080i mode but in that game it bumbs it down.
