Well guess what, companies get bought out all of the time and it would be refreshing to actually see Nintendo at the helm of sega so that we can at least start seeing some QUALITY releases from them for a change.
[QUOTE="nini200"][QUOTE="El_Zo1212o"]I remember being in highschool after Sega hardware had failed for the last time and hearing that Sonic was going to make his first appearance on a Nintendo system. I was crushed. This possibility brings up the same feelings. El_Zo1212oI remember doing the exact same thing but with the way Sega and Nintendo have been working together lately, I don't have that feeling anymore. Nintendo Sega would be a powerhouse company. Make no mistake- there would never be any Nintendo-Sega. More likely, it would be like Eidos and Square-Enix; their name comes up alone, but only after their parent company's logo appears on every game they ever have a hand in. For me, it's less about how well they're currently working together, and more about how much it will suck seeing my horse in the original console arms race finally be put to work by their greatest rival. So sad.

I hope EA does wind up selling to nexon.
I know right. I guess this is the kind of thing companies try to fall back on when they're desperate.
Hi there as you may or may not know jagex is now introducing what many people are calling gambling into their game with their newest update. The Squeal of Fortune (SoF). Many people recently have been talking on jagex's "rant forum" about how this is introducing under aged kids (minors) to gambling.
You see with the introduction of the SoF, everyone including minors can now "purchase" spins (as seen at the bottom of this page http://www.runescape.com/gameguide/squeal_of_fortune.ws).
I haven't tried the game but the book was pretty good, saw it in the library & picked it up for a 2 hour read.
IMO, Fable is mircosofts answer to Zelda. Fable 3 may still be a bit crappy in some aspects but I think the Fable series is microsofts Zelda. All they have to do is focus on improving it.
The topic title sounds slightly ridiculous, but what I mean is, like The Legend of Zelda has become Nintendo's flagship franchise, and has become their long running fantasy series that is easily identifiable because of its unmistakeable story, characters, game world, and charm, will Sony and Microsoft ever have a similar franchise of their own?
I remember IGN's review for the original Fable on the Xbox said that if Microsoft handled it right, Fable could become their Zelda, but Microsoft kind of botched that series up. As far as I know, Sony has nothing like Zelda.
In fact, te closest series to Zelda that I know of is Elder Scrolls.
So my question is, can Sony and Microsoft ever have their own Zelda like series?
