So I bought A Drink...

The other day I stopped by my local 7-Eleven to pick up some milk and some other goods when a very interesting looking cup caught my eye. It was the Halo 3Mountain Dew Game Fuelslurpee cup! I didn't expect to see Halo branded slurpee's so soon but from I heard from the cool guys on The Hotspot; it looks like Bungie has put in it's Halo 3 drink merchandise out.

I have to say thatthe cup is pretty cool -- A spartan presumably The Master Chief holding a red flag with a warthog and a pelican behind him riding onto some sort of battle. The Halo 3 logo also appears when I move the cup in different directions. The cup itself feels like it is well built and it's pretty nice. It's like one of those things that if you move around, the pictures on it move around too. I don't know if there's a word for that, but the words SLURPEE are on the cup and the many logos associated with the cup are on it as well.

All in all, it's a real awesome Halo 3 cup in my opinion. Check it out at 7Eleven!

Last-Gen Gamer

I've always been a last-gen gamer. By this I mean that the consoles and games that I purchase are considered last generation of the current or next generation. Let's take for example, the current nex-gen consoles; Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and the Wii. None of them I have, except my 360. This is an exception, because I actually received it with some games as a gift. Other than this, I do not own any sort of nex-gen consoles.

My philosophy on purchasing new nex-gen consoles are like this:
  1. If the console is less than $300, I will think about it. Usually if they are on sale for an extremely ridiculous low price I will purchase it.
  2. The console needs to have a game that is "killer app" material at the time or near release.
  3. My friends should have the system. Someone I know that plays the console generally makes me want to own or play with them.

Aside from this, I generally wait until the current gen consoles and games turn into the last gen. I am not completely sure why I do this, but I actually enjoy playing the last-generation games than I do with the current or nex gen ones.

Although I greatly enjoy playing my 360, playing my Playstation 2 still is a blast. My GBA and my Gamecube still hold strong strings in my body, because the games just seem to be rather dazzling sometimes. The "nex-gen" is almost too much for me at times. I do enjoy seeing those intensely killer graphics but goodness; sometimes I just want to lay back and play some Mario. Even to this day I still play Super Mario World and Street Fighter 2 Turbo on SNES.

Yeah, I basically have been a last gen gamer since I first got into games. I tend to enjoy older games/older consoles a lot more than newer ones more so because of the pricing and sometimes even the simplicity of the older games may kick in. Don't get me wrong, I love playing nex-gen games; I just have a mind-set to get games at a later time when it's usually much, much cheaper.

Found That Old Treasure.

Recently, I was cleaning my home when I stumbled upon a box full of old CD's and such. I noticed that my CD's for Rollercoaster Tycoon and 2 expansion packs for it were in there. The expansion packs are known as Loopy Landscapes and Corkscrew Follies.

I remember I played this game when I was a child and it was the greatest game ever. It was very addicting and almost every single other kid I knew also played RCT.

So I began playing again and I had a very similiar experience that I had so long ago. It was the feeling of just happiness and down-right fun.

I highly reccomend picking this up if you haven't already. Although Rollercoaster Tycoon is a very old game, it can still be played and enjoyed by anyone.

EA Games Too Many?!

Wow. I just noticed that out of the 9 Gamecube games that I have, 6 of them carry the Electrronic Arts logo.
Those 6 are:
-Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
-MVP Baseball 2005
-NHL 2005
-NBA Live 2004
-Medal of Honor: Rising Sun
-007: Nightfire

However, for my PS2, none of the games have even one thing to do with EA.

Wow. What do you guys think? Is it just a coincedence or maybe EA is one of the larger and more frequent third-party developers for Nintendo?

September 4, 2006 is a Sad Day In History.

September 4, 2006.

Steve Irwin, or The Crocodile Hunter was killed by a stingray barb through the heart. He was a hero and someone who loved life. Irwin meant joy to millions of millions of people. He loved his family and loved what he did. I mean, he was so whole known, a huge number of people knows who Steve Irwin is but don't know who the prime minsister of Australia is.

May God bless the Queensland Zoo. May God bless Steve Irwin's family. May God take care of Steve in heaven.

    We miss you.

Mar 16, 2005 5:33 am PT - Jul 29, 2006 12:48 am PT

My last blog post(orignally called journal posts, or so I remember it being called that) was March 16, 2005 5:33 am PT. 1 year, 4 months, and 14 days have passed.

During that time, I have been playing an excessive amount of World of Warcraft, leveling 2 characters to level 60 and getting a lot of end-game stuff going down. I have also leveled "random" characters to 40, 34, 29, 29, 28, 22, 22, 20, 19, and some characters I played for about a day and then gave up.

Also, during that time, I constantly was on Gamespot doing my thing. Gamespot could be called my home on the internet for it just keeps getting better and better. With additions like podcasts(which I am addicted to), watching OnTheSpot live whenever possible, watching user videos(Masoumi melts face), and keeping track with the great games out there.

Ever since first creating my account on November 2nd of 2003, my Gamespot "life" has been like an epic journey of greatness.

If any of you have read my reviews and/or would like me to start revieving games again, please, please don't hesitate to ask. I will immediately start again, because not only does it keep my writing skills in it's ever-growing position, but it allows me to get my opinion about those games out there. A PM or a simple comment would really encourage me.

    Thank you for your time.

Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games - World of Warcraft

It is true that Everquest had a huge impact on the MMORPG genre. Well, just how many hours do these games take away from our lives? I, myself love MMORPGs, but it's kind of ridicuclous how many hours I play these games. One game in particular - World of Warcraft, this game has really caused me to play non-stop. Perhaps, WoW is the greatest Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing game ever. I've spent countless hours playing this game and I find that WoW is like a drug. Once you start playing WoW, you won't stop. You can basically sum up WoW in one sentence like I just did. I believe that WoW will be played for many years. Just like Everquest, the game still has a nice number of players playing the game. It has a large number of players because it was the greatest MMORPG at that time, but World of Warcraft is the greatest MMORPG ever. I wouldn't ne surprised if for 15 more years, WoW will still be played by a huge number of people. As time goes by, each "generation" will have its own "current" MMORPG, but WoW is the MMORPG that has redefined the meaning of MMORPG.
