Roughly just over 10 years ago I got my first proper games console, the trusty PS1. With many platformers I was bought my first 'proper adult' game... Final Fantasy 8.
Now this game is what made me what I am today, a fully fledged RPG loving gamer. The game left a never ending impression on me even though I was only 8 years old. The story, the characters the bosses and the music all absolutely amazing and all trademarks of a good RPG.
Eventually after a number of years I returned to it, just to try and maybe finish that last disc and the inevitable happened, the discs were unreadable. As a result I have spent the last 5 years trawling shops and ebay just to get another copy without prevail but today is the day my dream was finally actualised.
I wont go into details how I came into possession of the game but its here now on my PC offering the oportunity to relive some of my finest gaming memories, even the opening credits brought a tear to my eyes with the realisation that this is a part of my childhood that I am being blessed with the chance to replay.
Now everyone I ask if you have a game from your past which makes you feel proud to be a gamer, go out and try your hardest to find the game becauseit could be one of the best things you'll do. If so what games make you feel this way?
