sure starcraft and half-life came out in 1998, but counterstrike came out in 1999, and cs became the biggest e-sport in the world.

also, shenmue & powerstone came out in 1999, and so did silent hill and resident evil 3.

and street fighter III: third strike came out in 1999, so u got alot of to live up too.

I guessing most people here don't remember 1987, but that's my favorite year.
