Wow, lacking research there chum. I know you've probably been flamed already on this one a lot - it's up to the DEVELOPERS now, Sony gave the ability and it is usable in Warhawk.

I just bought an Elite, and while it does freeze up at times, I don't believe it is due to any heating or other hardware issues. It seems to mostly be when I'm starting up music over the media server connection, then trying to do too many things too quickly and too soon after starting the music, so sometimes it then freezes. So, if your only concern is that of the heating that used to brick systems, I would say that you don't have to worry - even still you've got a long enough warranty after your purchase to send it in if it breaks, and get one of the 'newer' chips, that 'might' resolve heating issues.

Trophies are cool, they can give you more to do in a game, or can give you direction with some things that the game offers for you to complete. However, if a game lacks trophies but is still a good game, I'll play it - I like trophies so that I can see what I've done in a game, what I have left to do - not for other people to see that i've got level 10 with 712320 trophies. They are definitely helpful when I want to decide between two or more games that I want, the ones without trophies will likely have a much higher chance of not earning my dollar.

If we had a thread everytime a guy said he cancelled a pre-order, made a top games list, or got a freaking HAIRCUT, we'd be knee deep in crap threads.

hazelnutman

Cheers.

To be fair though, tell this type of story in a blog for the future - much easier to get a nice discussion using that format.

In order for content for a game to be available, the actual game has to be out there also. So, you will probably be able to use the voucher when they turn it on on the PSN servers for LBP. Until then, just wait - though it does cause confusion in the masses - they won't release content for a game that isn't out on the shelves (or in the Store) already.

Google it dude. You need an HDCP compliant monitor, speakers and an RCA to headphone jack adapter. You can have your PS3 and computer hooked up and it will do no damage, the reason the thing has two ports is to have one analog device (or devices on a switch) *and* one digital device (or more on a switch).

If you get it hooked up and your monitor is black, it isn't DHCP compliant, and I will be laughing 'with' you from afar.

I don't want any 360 games in my PS3 games, I don't want any PS3 games in my 360 games. I bought each system to play the games that are unique to each. Fable 2 will be great, as a 360 game - MGS4 is great - as a PS3 game. FFXIII didn't need to make the jump but will be good for 360 players. On the other hand, it is going to be neat to have Bioshock come over and help me increase my trophy count. I'll amend my statement to say any game that can make the jump and bring worthwhile trophies in with that jump is one I would bring.

PS1: Need for Speed Porsche Unleashed (How many times can you earn the SAME car?)

PS2: Final Fantasy XII (Good gameplay, very sad attempt at an engaging plot)

PS3: Spiderman 3 (Fighting was horrid, context puzzles were all stupid, and swinging around the city just didn't make up for a lackluster effort)

Worst game of all time: Mass Effect (PLEASE keep this game away from the Playstation)

my roommate loves this game, and i can't really see why. the leveling system is almost completely transparent, all of the weaponry is just different colors of the same gun and it's a tunnel run till the end. add to that, you have to choose all of the responses from your character. if you ask me about steering the results of your actions, i want something much more than clicking a response on the screen, give it some depth ffs. let microsoft have their lame arse trilogy, no self respecting gamer would want this filth on their playstation.
