Wednesday, July 30th, 2008 - A Tale

Well, in just 3 days I was able to raise $51 towards a DS Lite. I hope I can keep getting money at this rate, despite not having a job (I'm 14). That way i'd get the DS Lite by next week! Sorry. Just dreaming. I have already had one, as you have seen from yesterday's post. But I shall tell you a tale. Of a boy and his DS Lite.

It happened around this time of year, I mean, EXACTLY TODAY, two years ago. Yes, opening day of the Benton County Fair 2 years ago. Such a landmark day. I had gotten my first DS a year prior to that on November 28th. It was bulky and I only had 1 game to play. The Metroid demo provided with the DS. So me and my mom got on the city bus (It's free and saves gas). We went to the downtown transit center, about 10 minutes after we got on. We then walked to the courthouse, and only 2 blocks down the road was GameCrazy. I joyfully marched in telling my mom how great the DS Lite was going to be, despite the fact that she could care less about it, she was only paying for it. I asked the guy for a DS Lite. He set a Polar White one that I had reserved on the counter. My mom handed over the $130. I took the box and had a happy moment with it (Imagined me holding it and jumping around in a grassy field with that one song...forgot the name. It goes like "Wouldn't it be nice if we were older...") We went to StarBucks (I hate the place, but my mom likes it.) I sat down at the table by the window. She asked me if I wanted anything. I said I cared less about eating a the moment. I unboxed it, and pulled it outta the styrofoam sleeve and slipped it into my hand. The screens couldn't of had as much as a speck of dust on them. The Polar White look was so pure that I doubt anyone could come up with a whiter white. We then went back to the downtown transit center. My sister was going to the fair on the fair shuttle. I quickly showed her the DS Lite and she had some sort of reaction involving hig-pitched squealing. It was beautiful. I went home with it, but didn't have time to play any games. I just had enough time to adjust the date, time, and name of the DS. I still remember the name I gave it: DSREDS. I will eventually tell you why I named it that. Then I went off to the fair.

And so that was my description. Like a wonderful day in late summer, I know this DS Lite is going to come to me. And I will name it forsakenx7. Which is my normal username, currently. I only used forsakenx10 on this account because I had an e-mail problem. But how that DS Lite got parted with me is a story for another day. Like tomorrow. Then again, I need to tell everyone about the username DSREDS.

NOTE TO SELF:

1. Eventually tell everyone how you parted with your DS Lite. Shock everyone with the tale.

2. Eventually Tell everyone about the username DSREDS and how you created it.

Well, I am getting kinda bored of my PSP Lite, so I want to get a DS Lite, too, to compliment the whole Lite portable generation. And I miss my old DS Lite. With Animal Crossing Wild World...my gang of buddies...Rowan, Dizzy, Nan, Filbert, Maple, and others...But that was a long time ago. I have gone on to do better things. If they want to join me they will.
