hello everyone i have been having trouble with performance on my pc,

first of all here are the specs.

Microsoft WindowsXP

my currrent processor is a AMD Athalon 64x2 3600+ 1.91GHz,

3gb ram

Nvidia GeForce 8400gs

i have a processor in the mail which is a AMD 2.7GHz processor

the problem is most games actually run ok, i can play crysis, mount and blade, starcraft 2, the sims 3, to a pretty decent level usually at medium specs and they run fine, but i can barely play dragon age origins at lowest, or mass effect 1, at lowest setting they look pretty poor and run pretty poor, so im wondering what part of my pc is the main problem here, is my video card good enough, will my new processor help alot?

has anyone played any games that from the first minute in your hooked and its already awesome, i have played a few of these and i think the best so far is dead space, call of duty 4, and on pc dragon age origins was quite good at the beggining. games that rather sucked at this were especially red dead redemption, lots of farming ruined this begginning but i know its to get you ready for the game, mount and blade kinda sticks you in the middle of nowhere on your own and its hard to know where to start, and i think final fantasy 7, you really have to get past the annoying beggining, oh and oblivion and star wars kotor has a very unengaging begginning, there begginings area ll amde as tutorials but they really dont make you want to play on sometimes.

as others have said the whole experience of ffx. but the main moments are realising i forgot the destruction spehere in bevelle. so i begun a new game over my save. beating luca in the first blitzball tournament, learning the truth about seymour, turning on yunalesca and realising im gna pwn sin for good, and the final scene where tidus dissapears...and i actually felt emotionally connected to a charachter in a game

fighting games but most importantly every final fantasy past 10, becasue of one reason the action battle timer. give me a minute to make up my mind plz. also finding enemies from roaming instead of random encounters, please conserve classic game components
