dang that is some good prices for some great cards. maybe it is time for me to upgrade again! i was going to wait till after christams but hell why wait it is like they are already at a sale price.
Itis odd looking at the shot comparison because i popped in and play sunshine before playing galaxy. and when you are playing them galaxy looks leaps above sunshine. but i guess when it comes to art direction it is hard to see the differances. i do have to say textures and mapping deffinatly give galaxy a nice edge and also the fact that sunshine was 30 frames and galaxy is 60 frames really makes galaxy look a lot smoother.
i really wish that forge was mated with timespliters level editor. then consoles would have a decent mod commuinty to talk about. but as far as it goes timspliters level editor last gen blows away forge. being able to create your own level is so much cooler. you could create any level from any game you ever played if you did it right. i had maps from perfect dark, quake, doom, a level from the matrix movie ect. that is what forge should have been along with the cusomizing ablitlies. maybe in an update they will give bigger and better tools.
am i the only one here that thinks this is a horrible screen shott comparison? i mean they did not even take like looking places in all three of the games. outside trees, inside hangar outside stream and rocks... i mean... seriously. horrible job here in my opinoin. but yes you can see the jump in graphics especially when playing the game. but it looks like game spot just through together random screen shots for a quick shoddy feature....
I was not impressed with this years E3. The big three all greatly dissapointed me and all the games i wanted to see in action on all three systems were not to be seen. games i wanted to hear about never were mentioned and new announcments were very sparse.
the scope of the game is better and everything has way more detail. i am really suprised that the ps2 could push out this game with a solid frame rate.
