First off, all of you should know this will be a rant, if you dont like it, get away, now.
As many of you probably know, Call of duty is a very popular game now. While it used to be a decent war sim that focused on WW2 conflicts, it has now breached the modern and vietnam era wars. While the first game that did this (Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare) was innovative and relatively fun for awhile, I feel like the recent games have been clones with a few tweaks. The devs say things like "Well now we are adding more customization and perks" or "Now we have a sort of built-in economy" all it really means is "focus on this so you don't realize it's the same game with a different title and slightly enhanced graphics." What we need now is actually innovation, I mean look at Brink, here we have a game with loads of character customization, a unique art style, a new game engine, parkour elements (woohoo parkour!), and loads of other stuff not found in any call of duty game.
Hope you enjoyed my rant, don't hate.
