[QUOTE="Second_Rook"] I'm not really sure. I usually play those PSone Clas$ics on my PSP. Resident Evil 2 and Spyro looked pretty good on my TV though, the only thing is I think they were cropped to a 4:3 ratio. Not a deal breaker for me. Also worthy of note is that the graphics in FFT have 16-bit leanings and have aged much more gracefully than the graphics in FF7 or 8. I think after a few battles though you will be so hooked you'll learn to like the appearance of the game.

Thanks I'll probably go check it out.

3d dot seems very interesting too, may give that one a try when the price drops more at my local gamestop, it's still like 50euros here, probably because it is one of those games that don't sell so much there or something.kaa0steoria

is there any Zelda-like games out on ps3? They don't have to be totally like zelda, but at least in some respect.. gameplay-wise etc. Thought about this after I got Majin and the forsaken kingdom and I get that Zelda-feel from it somehow. And my gf really likes it so I was thinking of getting something like that for her, which game(s) would be the best (action/adventure/rpg)?

when Ni No Kuni is released on ps3 that will be a definite hit with her, so some good jrpgs can also do the trick. Gimme some ideas folks!

If you enjoyed the tactical side of Valkyria Chronicles you may like Final Fantasy Tactics. It's an older game but still the best TBS I have ever played. It's available on PSN and will provide you with hours on hours of quality gameplay. Great game for perfectionists/completionists.

That's actually looking pretty good. However, I've heard that these psone games from ps store look really bad? I can live with some pixelcounting, but if it's gonna be too small to fit my tv or something, that'd probably turn me off quite fast...

So, I'm not too familiar with jrpgish games, but there's these two games that are probably my favorites i played on ps3: Yakuza 3 and Valkyria Chronicles. I love how it's different, with strong characters and story and interesting gameplay. I need some more of these type of games, but I find it difficult to select the rigt ones.

I played Eternal Sonata, loved the story, but the gameplay and enemies got boring. Also played End of Eternity (Resonance of Fate) and it couldn't hold my attention. Looking at gameplay clips of games like FFXIII, WKC or Hyperdimension Neptunia, it just doesn't seem that interesting to me.

Anyone got some advice on some titles I should check out? Doesn't necessarily have to be rpg's, I mean, neither is Yakuza 3. I don't mind having to import it from Japan or whatever, as long as it's available with English subs. (Oh, and Yakuza 4 is already on pre-order.)

Thanks in advance :)
