Take 2 gigs out, and save it as back up in case your other two sticks fail, windows xp for some reason can not recogonize 4 gigs, but vista can read 4 gigs if you go that route, Your video card is not bad at all, i wish i had the card you have, i have the 7600 xfx. But because of direct x 10 games coming up you should have taken that money you spent on the two extra gigs and put it toward the 8800gts to be prepaired for direct x 10 games, but you do have a nice rig though.
My advice is to use windows xp pro until the one year anniversary comes around since vistas release, which will be in january 2008, By waiting till that time comes up it will give microsoft enough time during that one year period to work out all the bugs and other problems that new software has when it is first released,that is what i am going to do, Vista has not been getting an over welming amount of good reviews since it has been relased, its been 50/50 so i advise people to wait, and definately wait for vista if your a pc gammer im hearing of a lot of problems with current pc games being played on vista.
