The escalator, once a brilliant invention used to help get from point A to point B faster than stairs, has become a tool for evil. That evil is people standing on escalators. That is a testament to human laziness. My understanding of the escalator is to help you walk up faster by moving along with it. It wasn't designed just to stand around picking at your fingernails. People who do so are not only incredibally lazy, but are also a detriment to those who wish to use the mechanism for its true purpose. It's like making the speed limit on a road 100 k's an hour, but only driving at 30 k's an hour because you feel like it. You slow down the flow of traffic and hereby become a plague on the road, and standing on an escalator is no different.

Comrades, it is time to take up arms. I propose that you write to your local, state or federal government to have something done about this atrocity. If not, take it upon yourself to make signs and place it at key positions. And when you are on an escalator and theres someone in your way, just standing there, feel free to knock them down and teach the true use of the escalator. No longer will we have to suffer from others laziness. Together we can make the world a less lazy place.
