Not really fair. They are comparing it to Uncharted, even the 1st one :D . Its like comparing the most recent Tomb Raider game to Uncharted 2. You don't compare something that was trully the first next gen title of this generation to something that looks and plays like it a spruced up last gen title. I'm sorry Enslaved but I really didn't go "WOW" at any point during those 5 hours of rented time we had together :( . You were a fun game neverhtheless.

It's also not like there is the ability to grind or do sidequests to improve your character or make money to buy better equipment. if you get to a boss then that's the next step and all you have to use to beat it is different tactics or luck...70% luck though.smerlusThat sounds like a good thing. Too much grinding can quickly kill the fun in an rpg game.
So true and part of me misses it but another part of me is thankful. I've been trying to beat Vampire the Masquerade: Redemption for a few months now and i've only been able to play in 1-2hr spurts a couple times a week. I was able to beat ME2 using that method fairly quickly...in older games it almost feels like it's not worth it.smerlus
Hey! I actually got really addicted to Vampire: Bloodlines when I had a few lazy weeks in September but then with all the school and other things, started only playing twice per week or so. And now almost 3 months later the plot is getting really deep ... but I'm pretty sure that I'm not even halfway through the game (just started in Hollywood). But how is Masquerade? I heard the combat has much more depth/strategy. And damn, I really gotta stop going for the sequels first :P.
you should rectify missing out on BG 1 and go over to GOG.com and purchase it :Psmerlus
What?! And lose half a year of my social life :D ? Boy, I'm really glad Bioware doesn't make rpg games like they used to. At least with ME 2 I know I'll only be really busy for a month or less. Strange how games are starting to look so much better at the same time as giving less and less content for the money :P .
[There's your problem right there. You'd rather take a lame shortcut rather experience the full story the way it was intended to be experienced.
It's like getting to read The Two Towers but before you do, you run out and get the crib notes version of The Fellowship of the Ring.
You miss out on the subtleties and relationship dynamics of the first part. It's a half assed solution.

I don't understand why people are getting so upset over this. Lame shortcut? It's not like we have a choice here :( . I'm not going to go to store and pick up xbox just so I could experience "the subtleties and relationship dynamics of the first part". I played Baldur's Gate 2 without playing the first one and that didn't diminish my experience one bit despite Baldur's Gate being by far the more complex rpg series.
[QUOTE="freema"][QUOTE="clone01"]why, you've had one break on you? the slim model?clone01
I wouldn't trust it NOT to break. They even removed the RROD light indicator. How very thoughtful of Microsoft. So even if it's making that weird noice lets hope that it's not a "hardware breakdown imminent" noise. Because everybody knows that the red lights were way too depressing.
so, in other words, you have zero experience with it. not very objective proof to support your argument. i've got the slim, and its great.Well... xbox (slim or otherwise) just doesn't have any games that interest me. Halo and Gears are just not my cup of of tea (I can't stomach Killzone and Resistance either so its really not a fanboy thing). But I probably would have bought the cheapest xbox late this year, had Mass Effect 2 not been announced for ps3 :) . So thanks for saving me couple of hundred bucks Bioware. Maybe I'll spend them on that Mario edition Wii console.

Mass Effect 1 is still not on PS3, so to play the real Mass Effect trilogy you still need a xbox 360
In fact ME2-3 going to PS3 will help sell million of xbox 360, sinc everyone will buy one to play Mass Effect 1
AbleFa3
Sure whatever :) . Mass Effect 1 had much worse gunplay and according to most reviews Mass Effect 2 was an improvement over the first game's formula. Besides what idiot would dish out $300 for an unreliable console he'll only play one game, which I don't even feel like playing all that much, on? Seriosly now that Mass Effect 2 is out on ps3, there is nothing that interests me in the xbox's exclusive line up (very sad :( ). No I think the interactive comic will do just fine with me. Getting all the dlc in the bargain makes it kinda nice too. And I'll have a few games to trade by the time this comes out so I won't be paying more than $20 for it actually.
So I take it that Mass Effect 3 will be released simultaneosly on ps3 and xbox? Kinda sad how the only good reason to purchase 360 is gone now. In 2011, computer and ps3 is all you need ... unless you really like Halo :( .
