Its been a while.....

Well, as I say above it has been awhile since my last entry. As some (read;no-one) know, I recently purchased my very own, brand new, slim ps3. I am in love. I was very slow at first picking up games though. NOt that I didn't have the option, its just I feel a little "scared". What I mean by that is, I am not that good at video games. Scratch that. I am not that good at first person shooters. Compound the fact that every pimple faced, drooling, fan boy out there has been playing;Halo,Call of Duty, and every other hyper-real head-shot the new guy, game out there. So after starting slow with Prince o' Persia, I went off and bought a "cool" DLC game by the name of Battlefield 1943. I has high hopes for myself that I would actually get to have some fun with this title, but alas, it is a FPS, and multi-player online at that! So what happens. Well I get to playing and them I get shot. Run around not knowing what is my objective and get shot. Try to lay low and just stare at the roads.....guess what, get shot. So all in all my worst fear about on-line gaming has come true, I have no chance, and probably bring down every team I join by being the guy on the bottom of the list that has 10 points and 0 kills. Although the game did feel sorry forme one time and spawned me right in front of an enemy tank and I was just fast enough to get off an RPG to make my kill count 1. oh yea, I think I was able to manage a kill the good old fashioned way a-la machine gun fire. So after an hour worth of play I managed a whole 2 kills while everyone else had any where from 3-25 kills per round. What to do,what to do. I think I will keep at it another time, but does anyone that just started playing a next-gen system have any chance against the seasoned on-line war machines that I face every match? Guess I will give it time and keep at it and hope that my skills improve. I think the last system I had got smashed with its own controller over frustrating FPS like Battlefield 1943.

I will post more later. Not about the above, but all other things PS3 as I dive deeper into the system. I have about 10 games so far and need to pop 'em in to see whats up. I wont let on-line FPS ruin my new found game consol. Peace

New addition to the family

Well, I had to do it.....I put my 1982 Vintage moog synthesizer on ebay and was greatfully suprised when it sold by the time I went back to "my ebay" to check on some other auctions. It was my first time selling anything and so far it has been a great experiance. The person that hit the buy it now button only minutes after placing the add, followed his buying commitment up with a hefty deposit to my pal pal account.

So what to do with this new found cash flow, what could possibly "need" at this very moment in my life.....a PS3 of course. So I got it. Its here....good night.

They say, "the union forever...."

I just got my first invite today to a union. I am totally new to the whole blog thing and online families of friends and hope to figure out my place in the grand scheme of things. Looking over at my stats I see that I just hit my level 3....level, and now have the ability to post game reviews. What does this mean. How to I handle this new found voice. Well I hope to have my own objective opinion on the goings on in the gaming industry as which I am involved in. The oppertunity for me to speak my mind has always been a top priorety in my life, ever since I was a budding high school anarchist, stomping around implying that I, and only I know which way the world is supposed to turn.

In writting reviews, starting topics, and other ramblings I bestow upon the masses, I feel the need to be honest, unbiased, and objective, I have the wrather un-natural beauty of being some what ignorrant when it comes to the industry and all the things so many users have devoted so much time and effort on being a part of. I promise to keep my self up to speed, participate, and keep personal views wrangled under typing key.

At this point in time, the state of the industry, we grow together, as one.

p.s.- I will try to keep grandious speeches, and intellectual rants to level most can absorb, I am by no means educated, as you might tell by the utter lack of effort to arrange my thoughts into schoolastic standards, the above and forward only flow out as my brain commands my fingers, I try to type all in one thought, not thinking to hard about what it is I am trying to say. If I keep myself to these standards I hope to not only stay on track but to keep my posts accuarate to the thought as it comes. What do I expect from my time behinde the key......well I would hope that some high powered figure head will see what I am trying to accomplish and come to my door with a sack full of cash, two honeys on his arm, with the directions to a secret penthouse filled with what only dreams can manifest.......alas, surely not the prime directive behind what gamespot is........one can dream.....thats all I can hope for.

Power of PSP over the non-gamer

As a kid (now 27) i was hooked to my PS1, my brothers and I always fighting with each other over who was a cheater using cheeze like comobos to beat each-others characters into submission. Time went on, lost track of video games as it was more fun in high school to play guitar and then find out that chicks played with guys that could shred guitar over the king of twisted metal. Recently work has been slow and the lure of cheap, yet beatufiul entertainment was considered an option upon a recent trip to a local gamestop, spying on a great deal.....psp1000 for only $99, sign me up. I get home and tear everything open to have a warm wave of pride spill over my then wide eyes, like an ematiated goblin grasping my prescious, i had found a new obsession. Logging onto PSN seeing all that could be has put me under a game crazy sort-of spell. Since then I have been on the move searching for everything and anything game related. I am now in the market to expand my new, old found love of gaming to the big screen with a soon to purchase ps3, christmas is here and SONY corp was nice enough to give us all a price break to enter thier electronic world with an ever inticing price point of $299, granted i am not an experianced gamer and funds dont come quite as easy in this economic climate, i still feel compelled to to mix up a big batch of the purple kool-aid, i see in such new titles as "Dark Void", "Demon Souls", and other equally mind blowing, visual displays, of cult like grasping, graphical power houses. Although I just got back into gaming, i feel right at home with just a minor learning curve needed to catch up to speed my hand eye cordination, I cant wait to see where the industry will take me next. I spend a lot of time reading, watching, and posting mine and others reviews so I look forward to seeing other users input on the next best game to try. I also hope to start a lucritave trophy collecting campagn as soon as I have the ps3's capabilitiy sitting in my wi-fi stream. Let the games begin.......who told me I need to find a hobby...was it you.....you.....no it was you........thanks
