Basically, this article is using a very roundabout way to say that the next nintendo console NEEDS BETTER ONLINE. We want an achievement system, damn it! and a lot more DLC! Either way, i hope the authors vision is not entirely true. I dont want to have to play animal crossing to get to my console's online features.
