i buy games based on how good they are, not whether or not they have motion control

When you link your account it doesn't count anything you owned before you linked it.

So if you have 10 games and all ten were before you linked they'll never show up

they are not registering at all. it has been about a week. will they eventually show up is all i want to know

Not necessarily. The Minish cap could very well come sometime after Skyward Sword.

I'm pretty sure that anything of monetary value (gift cards, points cards, etc.) can never expire. It's basically treated as money.
