wtf, i remember when it was the coolest thing how the wii had motion sensitive controls and all of those cool features that were gunna "revolutionize" video gaming, but now that time has passed, ive noticed that they have kinda forgot three small things, STORAGE, GOOD GAMES AND A BETTER ONLINE USER INTERFACE!!!
i have a wii and im still proud that i do but i think that nintendo needs to make some serious upgrade to keep a good reputation.
as far a storage goes, well theres nothing really there, 512 mb?! thats like a 360 memory card. like sure u can just click in an sd card for extra storage but u virtually cannot use it directly from a game (besides SSBB screen shots). and those sd card are convieniant but they just arent enough for what wii could be offering! if wii made a slightly better system (similar to the 360 elite is what i had in mind) that had a hardrive and maybe a dvd player and/or even better yet gave us a system update that allowed diect saving/loading to and from an external hardrive would just be a god send so then nintendo would over come a HUGE hurdle in capabilities of games (ex: DLC for GH3 was a HUGE oppurtunity wasted because of storage issues, or maybe they shouldve even done something like downloadable maps for SSBB) which would call for more buyers because they would get more for their dollar and be more interested in wii.
for games, i would say like 60% of wii games r just crappy mini games that r fun for 20 min then they get old! but yes, they do have the odd good games like MoHH2, SSBB and galaxy.
although MoHH2 probably is the best online experience (not to mention the ONLY GOOD shooter with online play) out of all wii games, it isnt that great! like sure u can jump right into games and there r different game modes like tdm and ctf and such they r still missing so much more like more weapons and something like the challenges in cod4 would suit that game well and also i remembered how awesome it sounded to brawl with friends online but i didnt no i would have to beat the 5H1T out of a sand bag for like 5-15 min in hopes of finding a game! just using a few examples of wiis crappy online experience
thats just games though, considering wii already has a decent system with the whole mii situation and being able to send them to ur friends and such but thats just about all they have to offer in the "interacting with ur friends online" department. i think that wii was moving in the right direction with the internet browser and the check mii out channels to improve the online experience but all in all i think it would be better if they had some sort of thing similar to the 360 messenger system where u could just press a button and then u could instantly start chat or invite them to a game from what ever ur doing whether it be playing a game or checking the gamespot forum on the internet browser. if u say though that this would be copying the 360, well they already had in mind to make there own versions of miis and make some other creative name for it for copyright sake so i say what goes around comes around.
so feel free to comment because i think if these things were added to the wii, it could catapault them back into even better sales then now considering how good they r doing already with not that much to offer compared to 360/PS3 (not to mention a boost in reputation to make up from the absolutely terrible sales from the GC compared to the XBOX/PS2)
