This is my first post in the forum. My English is not very good, so please excuse me if I make any mistake in sentence structure or spelling. Thanks.
Now I'm extremely interested in the Rainbow Six Vegas. So I read many articles in the forum, including preview and review (Both PS3 and 360 versions). But due to my poor English, I can't understand one sentence in PS3 version's preview very well.( http://videogames.yahoo.com/ps3/tom-clancys-rainbow-six-vegas/preview-516723 ). So I'm here to ask for help...^ ^
The sentence is: "While the single-player campaign looks as solid as it did in the Xbox 360 version, the PS3 version will have exclusive multiplayer maps and game modes not seen in the 360 or PC versions of the game."
I don't quite understand the meaning of "as solid as" in the sentence, and I asked some players about it. Some of them told me that means "The quality of PS3 version's single-player campaign is as good as XBOX360 version's." Yet there are still some players who think that it means the PS3 version's framerate is as solid as the 360 version's."
Which one is better? (I'm not here to compare which version is better. Also I'm not a player who holds the prejudice of any console. What I want is to study English, just simple.)I look forward to your help. I really appreciate your kindness. Maybe we can be friends in the future. ^ ^
Hi guys, this is something about the R6V preview of GAMESPOT, me and my mate went into an argument about one sentence, the sentence is: "While the single-player campaign looks as solid as it did in the Xbox 360 version....."
Well, while I believe "as solid as" mean as good as,his think the word "solid" somehow lead to "solid framerate". Since nither of us speak english(as mother language),I hope to seek some help from here, since most of the people here do speak english from bron.
Is there any relationship between "as solid as" and "solid framerate" in this case?Or is it just some silly thought get cross a fanboy's mind?
