its normal, the ps3 fan adjusts itself to the internal temp.

for the 2.5 inch sata, 5400rpm 500gig is the biggest

7200 rpm, is 320gig, thats what i have

for the 3.5 inch 1tb is the biggest

Trust me, go with the seagate momentus 2.5" 320gig 7200rpm 16mb cache.

I am so happy with mine and the heat is no issue... what heat, its no problem.

Anything loading from the HDD will be faster but blueray disk loading is still the same.
