I saved up for a couple of months and bought it right after Christmas '01, specifically for Metal Gear Solid 2. At the time, PS2 memory cards were far and few between, so I had to leave the system on for a week straight and beat it in that time.
/hardcore xD
I would see no reason to be nervous about saying something like that unless one were sexually confused. If you can say that somebody is ugly as hell, then I think you can be sensible and mature enough to know if they're good looking as well. And unless your ego and reputation is the most important thing in the world, then I see no harm in saying it.
In her case, just because she's shy might not mean she likes you. Like you said, she's a new girl, so she could just be very happy to have a new friend in a new place. Hang out a little more; like someone else said, take her to the movies. That's generally a good way to see what she thinks. But don't be somebody you're not. Just because you like her, or you think she likes you, doesn't mean you should act any differently. Being yourself and being a good friend for now may be the most attractive thing to her, and if so, maybe she'll make the move before you do. ;)
I have just recentely started playing Final Fantasy and I really enjoy it. I started with FFXII and finished, great game. I just bought FFVII but so far its a bit of a let down. I was looking up some other FF games and noticed their are more than one of each number. Eg. FFVII: Dirge of Cerberus/FFVII: Crisis Core. Why is this? Is it the same storyline just playing as a different character?Drunko_ElfIt might be a bit of a let down compared the mechanics and additions that the series has adopted over the last 10 years since FFVII came out, but you gotta understand, for its time, FFVII was pretty groundbreaking. I'm actually replaying through it right now for my 5th time. I'm 23 years old, and it still has the same impact for me that it had when I was 12; it's really just that kind of game. The first few hours of the first disc is a little slow, and what you think the game is about, isn't even close to what it becomes. It's not the beginning of the game that people loved so much; it's all of the overlapping stories, events, shocks, and heartbreaks that come along the way, right up to the very end.
It is a love or hate game, no halfway. For $20 it doesnt matter either way, I thought it was a great game though.mohmaaytahI agree. Personally, I loved it. Granted, there wasn't much else to do other than kill the colossi, kill little lizards, and collect fruit, but the 16 different boss battles alone are worth the 20 bucks.
Most definitely both. You MUST play the first before the second, because the best part about the game aside from all the lovable bloodshed and action is the STORY. I think the 2nd is leaps and bounds better than the 1st, and that's saying a lot because the first game was amazing. So if you had to get one, start with the first one; you won't be missing out on anything, and it'll make you want the second one. ;)
God of War II (exponentially better than the first one, and that says a lot)
Kingdom Hearts II (the same can be said for this one as well.10x better, hell, 100x better than the first. you'll be amazed at the improvements)
Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence (personally my favorite in the series, and much better than the second)
Resident Evil 4 (hands down one of the best action games of all time; 3rd person/over the shoulder control innovator)
Okami (words can't describe the beauty of this game. If you like the Zelda series, definitely check it out)
I don't think FFX's story "sux" compared to FFVII's. While I won't say it's my favorite story, it's still a great game. I never understood why people compared Final Fantasies like they were sequels to each other. No FF has anything to do with any other (despite a few exceptions like FFX and FFX-2, some others, and the fact that they share the moniker "Final Fantasy"), and therefore I think should each be looked at as an individual game. So to answer your question, yes, FFVII deserves to bought to this day because of its story. It's personally one of my favorite stories, but that doesn't mean you should exclude playing a great game like FFX, or hell, even FFVI (which is in a league of its own) ;)
