I'm more than satisfied with mybackwards compatible, 60GB PS3. I could care less about the slim and Sony's ads about it. I'm sticking with my PhatS3.

Seriously? It's a **** electronic .. they break, at any time .. they aren't fool proof .. or built to last forever no matter what the company tells you ..

It happens, and seriously some of you people need to learn to deal with it ..

Right. Thanks for the words of wisdom. Never would've realized that if not for you. Now that we're past that, has anyone else who's gone through this debated on whether you should get the 60GB back or just go with another model? I'm asking because from everything that I've seen, it seems to happen more frequently with the 60GB.

 Yet you learned nothing from it, and are still oblivious to the world around you ..

What are you, 5 years old? I'm not on a video game forum to have a virtual fight. Thanks for your advice. It wasn't helpful, but thanks anyway. Move on. You're obviously only helpful in the "being a smart a**" category, so go try it with another 5 year old.

$60 is my limit.

And I try not to pay that much if I can get around it.

None. I would just wait for the price to drop or wait until I found a used one.

I was about to say the same thing. Mine does that too when I accidently change the input or the channel. ie; HDMI 1 and 2, Componenet 1 and 2, Cable, Antenna, and so on. I have mine plugged into HDMI 1 and everything else is open.

YLOD only happens to the 60gb one, and it's not a overheating issue (HDD I think).

Gxgear

According to Sony, it's an overheating issue. I don't know for sure whether it is or isn't, but it makes me wonder if I would be better off getting another model as oppossed to getting back the same or refurbished 60GB.

OK. No what? I asked a couple of questions.
