My Wii fell from about a foot onto tiled floor. Now it won't read any discs, even after changing them. Does this mean the laser has been damaged? How easy will it be to get it fixed? It also makes a weird beeping-sort of sound.

I think it's been about a year since we bought it, so what's the procedure for repairs?

Erm Stairway to Heaven

Then for 2nd place, it's half of Mothership (my only Zep album - I saw it in the airport, and thought, why not? I might like em!): especially Black Dog, Over the Hills and Far Away, Babe I'm Gonna leave You, Heartbreaker, Achilles' Last Stand and others.

In fact, the only one I dislike on Mothership is No quarter.

Wow, when you said that the US is "stagnating" and progress has come to a halt, you instantly made me think of Isaac Asimov's Foundation series - in the prologue novel, before Seldon works out his theory, he is told or works out (can't remember) that society has stagnated, etc.

Maybe, the TC is a prophet of incoming doom, but he'll save us by discovering a new theory that will change the world

Or not.

Sorry, a bit random.

Erm, I'm obviously in the minority here, but two recent films that i hated quite a bit and another one were:

28 Days Later

Meh, not veeery scary (and I get terrified easily, especially of zombie films) and the end was just crazy. Really, really, random and crazy.

28 Weeks Later

Wtf? Plot holes much? There were so many crucial story points that had me going : "What the.... Why? Why? Don't go in there for Christ's sake! Where are the guards?

No Country for Old Men

Meh, again. It was vaguely entertaining, but pretty confusing. It was OKAY but I don't see why it got so much praise.

Then again, I'm only 15, so a lot of those films apparently had hidden meanings (some of them really subtle - like the Iraq war criticisms in 28 Weeks. "Y'kno, cos the zombies look like people, just like terrorists look like people, so the soldiers are like, wtf? How genius"

So yeah, proof that reviews aren't everytig, fanboys.

swizz-the-gamer

There are these things called opinions...
