I've been sitting on the sidelines of the current console generation, patiently biding my time. I will finally jump in this fall, with either a PS4 Pro or Xbox One X. HUGE Star Wars fan, and it's Battlefront II that's finally going to pull me in. I thought I was firm on PS4 Pro, but the One X is seriously tempting me.
PS4 Pro - Better exclusives so far, and that is the obvious the draw. Will that trend likely continue in the future? For example, if Days Gone turns out to be a really good game, it will be painful not to be able to play. I do like PS4 controller a little better. PS4 Pro more than adequate for my 1080p 60", although 4k is ultimately a "when", not an "if".
Xbox One X - Despite fewer exclusives, I tend to gravitate to western AAA titles, so that maybe softens the PS exclusive edge a bit? Forza and Gears of War are games I would definitely play. The allure of the raw horsepower is undeniable--even if I don't need all of it, I love knowing it's there. I've heard that Xbox will be able to play games cross-platform with PC users--is this true?> Lastly, I bought an Xbox 360 immediately upon release back in the day and regretted it--RROD. Early edition console hardware still a dubious proposition? I want to jump in this fall, don't want to wait any longer.
Any thoughts?
