I've been sitting on the sidelines of the current console generation, patiently biding my time. I will finally jump in this fall, with either a PS4 Pro or Xbox One X. HUGE Star Wars fan, and it's Battlefront II that's finally going to pull me in. I thought I was firm on PS4 Pro, but the One X is seriously tempting me.

PS4 Pro - Better exclusives so far, and that is the obvious the draw. Will that trend likely continue in the future? For example, if Days Gone turns out to be a really good game, it will be painful not to be able to play. I do like PS4 controller a little better. PS4 Pro more than adequate for my 1080p 60", although 4k is ultimately a "when", not an "if".

Xbox One X - Despite fewer exclusives, I tend to gravitate to western AAA titles, so that maybe softens the PS exclusive edge a bit? Forza and Gears of War are games I would definitely play. The allure of the raw horsepower is undeniable--even if I don't need all of it, I love knowing it's there. I've heard that Xbox will be able to play games cross-platform with PC users--is this true?> Lastly, I bought an Xbox 360 immediately upon release back in the day and regretted it--RROD. Early edition console hardware still a dubious proposition? I want to jump in this fall, don't want to wait any longer.

Any thoughts?

I almost always finish my games. Two notable exceptions were GTA IV and Gears of War. GTA IV became too repetative and playing became a chore--the fun factor disappeared about 80% through the game and I walked away. Easily the most overrated game of 2008. Geas of War was great, but I played it on the hardest level and got sick of trying to beat the final boss. It wasn't so much fighting the boss as it was having to endure the cutscene with every attempt, Attention game developers: designing games where you cannot opt out of cutscenes is total bush-leaue BS, pull your head our of your butts.

I just got LBP and resistance 2 and I'm loving both games! As for uncharted, it's a great game but I would probably rent it if i were you, i have the game and you can complete it in about 5-6 hours... resistance 2 has a really awesome single-player campaign aswell as a nice multiplayer so that should keep you busy for a long, long time. As for LBP, it's a cool game, single-player kinda short but the multiplayer is great! i would go for Resistance 2 and LBP:)Carohac
Didn't see you comment at first. Thanks for info on Resistance 2 single player...I will add to the list. I don't do multiplayer because I get too addicted and it never ends and I have no balance in my life. COD 4 was like crack, there was an intervention and I had to get rid of it. Now I get a game, play a game, and move on. :)

Why no LBP... thats the most stupidest thing ive heard anyone say... Get resistance and motor storm if you like racing. You have some good games already. And get LBP

Edit: Ratchet and Clank and Heavenly Sword

The stupidest ever? Guess you never heard Sarah Palin speak for 5 seconds. Anyway, I never said LBP wasn't a great game. I'm just not very into platformers, even good ones. I'm also not in to sports games other than baseball, rhythm games like GH or RB, even though I know these are excellent games for people into that sort of thing. I also don't do much mulitplayer FPS. That being said, is Resistance 2 a good game just for the single player campaign, or is it kind of a waste unless you do Mulitplayer?

I just sold my 360 and all my games so I could get a PS3. I've had the PS3 for two days and I absolutely love it. The only game I have is MGS4. Three other games I am working on acquiring are MLB 08 The Show (lack of decent baseball on the 360 was big reason for selling), Valkyria Chronicles, and Unchartered: Drakes Fortune. I'm pretty much only interested in PS3 exclusives, because if it's decent and on the 360, I already palyed it. What, if any, are the other must-have PS3 exclusives? No LBP.

Hey guys, I'm looking for a good RPG game to play with. Here are some choices in my mind (I don't want fallout 3 since it looks too scary...) 1. Eternal Sonata 2. Valkyrie Chronicles 3. Tales of Vesperia 4. Fable 2 Which one do you guys recommend and why?atytse
Do you have a PS3 *and* an Xbox 360? Of those, my favorite for the 360 was Tales of Vesperia, and Valkyria is a must-have for the PS3 if that type of game is even remotely appealing to you. The other two are fine games as well., play as many of them as you can.

I have both games and Halo 3 is a joke compared to COD 4. COD is seriously bad-ass while Halo 3 just kind of smells like some bad ass.

I was pretty pleased to have unlocked all the Oblivion achievements, but the one that I am most proud of would probably have to be the Legend acheivement for finishing Rainbow 6 Vegas on realistic mode...it was really hard (for me at least).
