Ok. I have recently come to own the brand new DSi in trade for my very old GBA, and a brand new PSP 2000. Now, some of my friends have asked "which is better?", so, here I am. Hardware: Now, I think we can all agree in saying that the PSP has better graphics. It can also play movies, music and other things which i have not ventured into yet. of course, this does not come cheap... 179 euros. The DSi meanwhile has a cute little camera, with which you can make your friends look like idiots. Fun the first day you buy it , but also some games require the use of the camera... Also the DSi has the new DSiware, pretty much identical to Wiiware, which is great. Shame they removed the GBA slot, that is why i still keep my old DS(for Pokemon) PSP:2 pointsDSi: 1point Software: I would say the DS , do not get me wrong, the PSP has great games(Daxter, Rachet and Clank, Metal gear Solid...) but nintendo has even more, great modern classics don't miss out like Mario, Pokemon, and Zelda, but also new games like proffesor layton, the world ends with you, ecc... PSP: 1 point DSi: 2 points Multiplayer: DS, hands down. This is the PSP weakness, it does not have enough multiplayer and WFC to compete. Also Nintendo has Mario Kart DS, the best multiplayer game yet.Also some games only need 1 cartridge to play! PSP: 1 point DSi: 2 points WINNER: DS(i) 5 points PSP:4 points
