I have the same clicking noises, and I hear them always. I got up the other day and the thing made clicking noises even before it was on, and had been off for a long time. But yes, I always had problems with my other 2 PS3's fans sounding like jet engines, and this SLIM is so quiet!!

I love that it is not so shiny black, and has the regular buttons instead of touch sensitive ones. I am having problems with games freezing up on me, but I actually think PS3's freeze all the time when you first get one. I am only saying this because this is my 3rd PS3, and all of them froze at first, but then just seem to all of a sudden not freeze ever again after a while. And I am expecting the clicking noises to stop too, but when they do, I am going to be worried. My last PS3 died shortly after I heard a real loud click of the same sort. Oh, and the SLIM is definitely hotter than my last 2 PS3's. It is about 9 inches from my wall and when you touch the wall, even after a short time, the wall is really hot.

I do not play many games online, but Halo Wars is a big exception. There is 13,000+ people playing the game at the busiest, and never less than a few thousand. It never takes me more than a minute to find a game and that is less time than any other game I have played online. Awesome game. GenocideGen004 is my Gamertag.
