How to improve forums everywhere.

It's been a while since I've posted anything in this blog, oh well.

Remove post counts, or make them more difficult to find. Believe it or not, there are people who believe that certain users are better than others simply because of their higher post count. This leads to people agreeing with certain posts more than others regardless of how well thought out or accurate their posts are. So what if a person is newer to a forum? That could mean a lot of things, but it doesn't always mean that they aren't smart.

I've seen quite a few arguments on the site where people try to use their post count/level as a sort of "I'm right and you're not because I've been here older" device.

Games5522's stupid theory on why the Gamecube didn't sell as well last gen

Ah, the GameCube, the little lunchbox that could. It was a lovely little box with some great games. But why didn't many people buy it?

Now, some of you may be saying that it didn't sell well because of the lack of a DVD player or that people considered it a 'kiddy' console. I think the reason may be something much simpler.

Notice how a lot of Super Nintendo games had the prefix 'Super' added to them? Super Star Wars, Super Mario Kart, Super Metroid, Super Bomberman, Super Double Dragon, Super Chase HQ, Super 3d Noah's Ark, Super Punch Out!!, Super R-Type...

The Nintendo 64 was also had an easily addable suffix at the end of a title. 64. Super Mario 64, Pilotwings 64, Bomberman 64, Carmageddon 64, Donkey Kong 64, Doom 64, Gex 64, International Superstar Soccer 64...

Now, look at the GameCube, how many titles for it had GameCube worked into their name? Well, there is ZooCube, but that's pretty much the only one I could name off the top of my head. I guess it's kinda hard to work cube into the name of a game, and adding 'game' into the name of a game just sounds stupid. So, in conclusion, the name killed the console. I'm sorry.

Nintendo seemed to have learned their lesson and started adding Wii into their first party titles, like Wii Sports and Wii Fit and Wii Play and third party developers seemed to have followed suit, with games like Resident Evil 4 Wii edition.

Woah...

I haven't done anything on this website in aaages! I guess I've sort of outgrown the site or something.
