Someone who likes Single Player, DRM-free, multi player Bots (anyone remember these?!!) and split-screen offline multi player games - sadly developers don't seem to care for old skool gamers like me any more. Thank God for Skyrim!
@Dominicobaggio I agree. So they did this as not to offend "Assassin’s Creed 3 US trailer censored to remove American troop slaughter" but they are happy for the British to accept mass slaughter on their side. I mean come on!
@traykey1 I couldn't of put it better myself. I personally prefer to 'own' the game, physically if possible. Doesn't feel right paying money for something you don't really get to keep. It's a bit like multiplayer servers, you pay the cash but after a while the servers fade and sadly so does the game. You'll also find that allot of people in the UK have terrible broadband connection speeds (still!) so I can't see this being practical for all.
What I hate is when the media get hold of a game that has a slightly violent part in it and use it to sell papers - normally this is a game that is a big hit - thus it's big news. Many games have violent scenes yet don't make it into the lime light. The second thing that really bugs me is parents who suddenly see or hear these headlines and go "oh dear, that game sounds awful - it must be banned" when they have already bought more than one 18 or 15 rated game for their 12 year old son for example. Parents are complelty blind to what they are buying for their children. Has anyone played The Punisher? That game you smashed people against their will into pavements, grinded them up into mincers etc. What about Mad world - just as bad - but doesn't get the massive publicty - very strange how they pick them for the hype/gore/morality factor - if it has an 18 - ITS FOR ADULTS.
