Yay my first blog on Gamespot! I wasn't even aware that they had added so many toys & gadgets to the site for members to play with until I was recently directed to someone's profile by a friend.
I'm at work, so my first post will be rather brief. I'm currently playing EverQuest II (ever since the day long ago that Ultima Online had landed on my pc, there will always be an mmorpg of some sort in my life). Fortunately this time around I'm not soloing everything. My husband and a number of roommates and friends are also playing, so I've got an automatic group every time I log in. They all started new characters, but I continue to play my original. Fortunately EQ2 allows you to mentor down to the level of others, so I continue to play Gamhuin (69 wizard) with everyone elses new characters until they eventually catch up. Having a good time and happy to share all the new & wonderful content of Faydwer with everyone. I'm really looking forward to Kunark.
I'm also playing Bioshock on the 360. I'd prefer as always to play it on my pc, but the system specs are just a tad bit high and it plays a little stiff when there is a lot happening on the screen. I'm really enjoying the game so far, and that says volumes as I am not a fan of shooters in general. The story is intriguing, the atmosphere is absolutely top notch, with great sound and music and voices and the visuals are a never ending feast of eye candy. It's eerie and exciting and you easily lose yourself in the game. And it's not so difficult that I cannot play it (in other words it's very easy to normal people, because otherwise I would have already left teeth marks on the controller in frustration).
I'm also casually palying Tomb Raider Anniversary on the ps2 and I'm impressed so far and enjoying the game. Everyone was shocked when they discovered that I had never played the original first game. It just had never landed in front of me back during my ramen eating college days... Now this remake of the classic had landed before me in my ramen eating old fogey days and I'm very happy with what I've seen thus far.
Folklore comes out next week! WOOT! I've been waiting for this for some time. Me want now! Gimme!
Okay, first post, yay, woot, etc...
