I didn't buy it because there weren't any games that I wanted to play.

I don't play on xbox live. I only play RPGs on my xbox, which are usually singleplayer only and I don't like the idea of paying for the subscription to Live (no real benefits for me since I wouldn't really use it).

About 5 hours.

I have Dragon Age II preordered. I'm going to get Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood sometime in April most likely, though.

I only use my psp to play games.

Thanks for the heads up. Just nabbed Fallout: New Vegas, DA Ultimate, and FME (for free). Looks like I won't need to wait until Black Friday to get them. =p

I've spent a few thousand hours on Counter-Strike Source.

I mostly play RPGs, followed closely by strategy games (turn-based, real-time, and 4X).

As others have mentioned, try Dragon Age: Origins. Also you might try Drakensang (there is a demo, I believe).
