Go try out Sins of a Solar Empire. It got high ratings here and on other sites so thats what I would recommend. From what I understand it's quite similar to Freelancer. I hope that helped :)
Ya, there really isnt any reason to not own Crysis unless you A.) hate shooters, or B.) your computer is too old to run it.
And, for the sake of argument
Crysis > CoD4
10+ hours > 5 hours Nano suit > 20 minutes spent with Ghillie suit Open world > on-a-rail scripted action Advanced technology > four-year old technology

I think those are the two basic reasons not to have Crysis but there more. And "too old" doesn't really give it justice... a lot of newer/spankin new computer can't even run it. I'm not leaning one way or the other but both games have great single player with crysis coming out on top as far as thats concerned. But COD4 has far superior multiplayer on and offline. Also crysis probably has the best graphics on a FPS to date so if you have the computer to run it, it's definitely worth the investment. Personally I think both games are great and are loads of fun to play.
I have spent many a coin on Time Crisis 1-4, Metal Slug, House of the Dead, SoulCal, and various Tekken games. All of which are very very good games. My favorite though would have to be the time crisis games for sure.
Meh, I bought it because my friend kept going on and on and on about how great it was. I agree that it is really cool, but I just haven't really gotten a chance to have a long sit-down play session with it and explore all the intricacies. Every time I try, I think about how I could be having fast furious fun with TF2 and CS:S and DOD:S. lolForerunner-117
Two of my friends are always going on about how amazing it is. From what i've heard it sounds really cool but i just haven't gotten a chance to play it yet. I've been really busy with bf2, ff12, and kh2 as of recently.
Like the other guy said before you just need a receiver and a program to convert the keyboard controls to the 360 controller. As he did i recommend you use xpadder. It works great and you can set different profiles for each of your games with the program (i.e. different buttons on the controller and linked to different keys on the keyboard). It works in and out of games, but you need to start the program whenever you power on your pc. So try out xpadder it works really great.
